Have you checked pinterest?  They have all sorts of fun, interesting, and novel ideas for cookies and most of the ones that I have made from there are really good too.

@funsizedbee:  What about a donation to the church? As for the cookies, I do not bake but I do love Oatmeal Raisen cookies or Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip 🙂

Personally I love snickerdoodles!!!! but you really can’t go wrong with a good chocolate chip or sugar cookie.  But he doesn’t seem to picky when it comes to cookies.  Is he married or does he have any kids or anyone else close to him you can ask what kind of cookie he is most seen with if you really are concerned?

Sounds like he likes all kinds of cookies! What a sweet thing to do! I’d make a few different kinds! Maybe chocolate chip, molasses or ginger snap, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter, etc. If he didn’t care for one kind, i’m sure he’d just share them with whomever.

The cookie recipe I get the most requests for are my peanut butter chocolate kiss ones. They get devoured by everyone. They’re just basic peanut butter cookies with a chocolate kiss pushed gently in the middle of each one (when they have cooled down for a few minutes after coming out of the oven). If you want the recipe, you can PM me or google it and similar ones should come up.

Sooo sweet of him to do this for no charge.

And kind too, if he is a Priest, then chances are good that he’ll be taking these back to the Parish Rectory to share perhaps with his colleagues…

Chocolate Chips are probably the easiest to make, and Peanut Butter isn’t difficult either.  If you are a decent cook / baker, there are always Gingersnaps, Shortbread or Thumbprint Cookies (more time consuming, and need an eye kept on them in the oven)… but truly delicious.

Personally, I’d be looking to make him up a whole mess of cookies… (they can be frozen) because if you were to pay for his services it would have been quite costly no doubt

PS… If his “Cookie Compensation” is meant to also cover the cost of using the Church, then like other Bees have said, I’d be looking at making a Donation to the Church as well for their generosity.

Hope this helps,
