ETA I didn’t notice this was posted under elopments, so disregard my question ๐
Pretty sure that you can self solomize in Colorado? Meaning, you wouldn’t even need an officiant. You could marry yourselves! I’m guessing since you posted in elopements that you won’t have guests? I think it would romantic just the two of you!!
Yes! We eloped in Aspen and used Jill Pidcock. She was wonderful it was just us, her and our amazing photographer. Totally recommend her, let me know if you want more recs for Aspen, our tiny wedding was magic.
I don’t have any officiant recommendations, but I just want to say that the fall colors are so beautiful right now, and your September wedding will be gorgeous. Make sure you plan to get plenty of pictures in an aspen grove!
And also, I agree you should marry yourselves. I feel confident that Canada will recognize your marriage since it was legal where you married. Talk to your local courthouse (or who ever is in charge of marriage licenses in your province) about getting the proper paperwork.
I’m a bit late on this thread, but we’re going to be eloping/having an intimate wedding in Colorado in April. We booked through a company called Simply Eloped and got a package that included officiant, photographer, and videographer. Our officiant, Jess, is such a beautiful soul and I love her work. They work all over Colorado.
