I think I might have made a bit of a mistake with my birth control and need some advice!! I am getting married at the end of this month July 28, and my last pack of pills stopped on Saturday night (July 7th) I figured I would just continue taking my pills and skip my period all together. Until I did the math!! I took one last night from my new pack (Sunday) and reaized that I would indeed skip for my wedding but unfortunately, would have it smack dab in the middle of our honeymoon!! Now, my question is, should I stop the new pack (1 pill in) and just get my period hopefully before the wedding, OR continue taking it? Do you think taking that one pill (they increase in horomone as the weeks go by) will effect when I am regularly scheduled to get it (july 12ish). Please help!!!

Call you doctor’s office and ask. You might be able to take 3 packs of active pills back to back and skip 2 periods.

keep taking it and continue straight into a third pack. Then youll miss to cycles.

yeah, I’d call for this one – because you have triphasic pills, it might be a bit more difficult to coordinate. I’ve heard a lot of women still get spotting when they start a new triphasic pack because the hormone level is dropping. I would guess though, that they might just have you stop now.

@ThreeMeers: I agree with this. My doctor has said that you can do this a couple of months in a row without any problem. My friends have also been told the same thing.

@hisgoosiegirl–You were right on the money with this one. I just called my pharmisist and she told me to stop taking the new pack and start in a week!! Thanks for your help ladies…this is why I love the Bee!!

For the future – look into Seasonale. It’s a BC that you take continously for 3 months and then have a 1 week period (hence the name, one period per season). I’ve been on it for a year and love it!

Seasonale is great, but it can really mess with your emotions. It did with me! I was on it for a year and couldn’t get used to it. I was a mess and cried over EVERYTHING, which was unfortunate because having four periods a year was fantastic!

@discodance: Seasonale is actually the first BC I feel like a normal person on! It’s different for everyone. 🙂

@missbeachbum: I gained 20 pounds in a month on Seasonale (changing nothing else). I just switched back to the pill I was on before it and dropped 20 pounds in a month (also changing nothing). While it didn’t particularly mess with me any other way, it definitely made a huge change to my body!

@MissBoPeep: Lucky duck! I wish it hadn’t messed with mine so much!
