@Adams_bee:  Call your seamstress ASAP….taking it in is much easier than letting it out!! Hopefully she will do this for you ASAP!

Isn’t that like 15 pounds? In a couple of days?! How does that happen??

I don’t have any advice, I’m assuming it’s not a corset back?

You lost 6 kgs in a few days? That’s hard to believe! If it’s really too loose, call the seamstress. Or eat a lot of bread and pasta tonight.

Man, I wish I could lose 6kg in a few days. I put half that on this week through pizza and wine.

I’m sure you will be fine though – if it’s not done up properly then of course it won’t look right! Try not to panic and wait until your mum’s home. If it’s still not fitting once you’re properly cinched in, you’ve got tomorrow to get it sorted before your evening ceremony – plenty of time, and you’ll look great!

Call the seamstress ASAP!  I assure you, alterations can be done.  You’ll pay extra for them, but it’s possible.

6kg is how much?  My first reaction was “start eating!”  🙂  Good luck!  I”m sure your mom can pin it for you!

@Adams_bee:  Yeah, call the seamstress ASAP. You might have to pay a fee, but still call them.

If not, bread and margaritas. Salt the rim, drink it all including the salt. Then repeat.

@weddingbound:  +1

If your seamstress can’t do it, ask a sewing-savvy family member, friend, neighbor…whomever is willing to help you last-minute. It can be done!

@sheepandbear:  LOL that’s what I was thinking: carbs and salt, lady!

If you’ve lost 6kg in the last week, I suggest not just checking with the seamstress, but seeing a doctor. That’s not normal, and not good. Are you getting enough water? Enough salt? How about fruits and veggies? Lack of all the above can make you dehydrated/improperty hydrated and mess with your body. But I’d still see a doctor.

I hope by “a few days” you actually mean a couple of weeks, because that’s like 13 lbs! If you’ve been super busy and stressed and not eating, I wouldn’t think you need to call the doctor immediately, but if there’s genuinely no reason for the weight loss, you should at least call and check in and see if you can get an appt for right after the honeymoon (assuming you’re taking one.) Either way, call the seamstress and set up an appt for tonight, then see how it is once there’s someone to help you fasten the dress properly – you can always cancel the seamstress if it turns out it’s okay.

@zumbaista:  +1. call the doctor, THEN call the seamstress.

taking a dress in is much easier than taking a dress out. however, if you lost that much weight in such a small amount of time, i’m more concerned for your health than how your dress looks.

if all else fails, have salt and carbs like everyone else said. it’ll make you bloated.

@hassle_J:  That was my thought!  Go all “Robert DeNiro Raging Bull” before the wedding… 😉
