Hi busy bees… I have a story for you (but, I’ll keep it as short as I can!
In October, I purchased Allure 8634 (see below). It made me cry, I love the back of the dress, and it fit me perfectly (except for the shoulder straps being too long).
In December, I found out I was pregnant!!! I was to deliver on Aug 5th – 1 1/2 months before the big day. I was bummed that I wouldn’t fit into the dress, but since I already purchased it, I figured I could whip back into shape before the big day and pay for some awesome Spanks!
Just a litle more than a week ago, we found out the baby had no heartbeat. I lost the baby on Monday, February 6th. I am quite devastated, and to help ease the pain, I decided some bridal retail therapy would do me some good.
I went to the nearest bridal salon and tried on several Allure gowns that were similar to the one I have (my dress is currently at my parent’s home in KY). BIG MISTAKE?!? I found a dress that I simply fell in love with – Allure 8751 (below)
The dresses are similar, but SO different. I LOVE the wider waistband and the floral lace (with some 3D flowers, too) on the new one – it ties in PERFECTLY with our garden outdoor ceremony and reception. It is available in Ivory like my other gown. I LOVE the crystals in the waistband on my dress, it has a chapel train, and the straps on my dress are cut a little wider than the one I fell in love with today.
The other dress… It is 200.00 cheaper than the one I have. So now, I am thinking about listing my dress on here, recyclebride, oncewed, etc to sell it. I am rather conflicted right now and am worried that the only reason I love this new dress is because of my recent loss AND/OR for whatever other reasons that I cannot explain.
Please help my worried mind and give me some advise, PLEASE?!? What do you think of the new dress? Better? Worse? Any and ALL opinions are welcome.
Thank you wonderful bees!!!
