I don’t mind ultrasound photos and when people have shown theirs to me I like to look at the little ones details seeing what you can pick out and trying to guess what they will look like. But in he end think they all look pretty much like the same generic baby blob.
Even when we first went in yesterday, it was really reassuring to see our baby blob was now not just a dancing peanut shaped thing but looked like a real baby, but still not any intense emotion, just felt reassured. Then she started playing with her toes and rubbing her face and I started looking at her like more than a blob.
Now we have 8 ultrasound photos and everytime I pass the table where they’re at I just end up staring at them and thinking how cute she is. I feel a bit crazy staring at these 2D ultrasound photos and thinking I’ve figured out what features she has of me and my husband and how stinking cute our little black and white photo is.

Aww. Thats really cute. I have no kids yet, still early pregnancy with no ultrassound, so I understand the “Uh huh, it looks like a blob” mentality. Isn’t it funny how life changes you though? I’m also worried about ugly babies, but similar to the ultrasound thing, I’m pretty sure you always think yours are wonderful and adorable! Congratulations by the way!

Ultrasounds were my favorite part about pregnancy. Isn’t it amazing that there’s a real, little person in there? 🙂 I remember always feeling so excited to meet my baby every time we had an ultrasound. It’s just a special experience!
Don’t be embarrassed at all about your excitement; ultrasounds make pregnancy feel real for a lot of women!

I had the 4D head shot as my computer wallpaper the entire second half of my pregnancy and I LOVED to look at it 🙂 We didn’t know gender but I just so thought he looked like a boy and like he carried a ton of my family genes! I was so amazed at how at 21 weeks he looked so much like a real baby! 😉

Ultrasounds have been my favorite part of pregnancy, so don’t feel silly. I actually wish they would do an ultrasound at every visit, that would be awesome! 🙂
