You’ve sooo got this! I planned my first wedding in six months while starting a brand new job and finishing my masters while then-FI was in a different country. You can totally do it! Are you starting from scratch or already have certain things?

We will be engaged for 14 months by the time we do this thing. I’ve been so lazy, only started doing stuff in Januaray. You’ll be fine πŸ™‚

@Little_Hedgy:  Ive had a long engagement (since Dec 2011) and even though Ive been “planning” all along, only the real big stuff is getting done in the last 6 months πŸ™‚  Kind of wish I had started everything in the last 6 months…then there would be less time to second guess myself lol

@Little_Hedgy:  I did mine in just under 6 (After being engaged for a year, whoops). Completely doable, but you have to get on it – like right now, seriously, go!

No you’ll be fine. I just got engaged and started really planning in March so about 5 1/2 months. Everything has been falling into place really well.

Yep, six month engagement here!  Just decide on your priorities up front (for us, it was family, good pictures, and minimal stress) and be decisive…easier said than done I know πŸ™‚

You (and your FI) can do it!

@Little_Hedgy:  I would highly recommend buying a planning guide if you are not hiring a wedding planner. I bought the real simple weddings guide (I think you can get it at safeway and target etc) and its great. It has lists of all the things that need to be done each month and you can check them off as they are completed. It was a huge relief to know that nothing was going to get forgotten. Plus it’s full of advice about ettiquette etc. I started planning mine with less than a year and just caught up to the place I should have been in the guide as quick as possible so I could relax. Hope that helps!
