Hahaha that’s great! This reminds me of the time when I slept over at FI’s family’s house, and his younger brother who was 18 at the time, did not know I was there, well everyone else was at work, including my Fiance and when I got up to go to the bathroom, and walked out in the hall I heard “video games” coming from the computer in the computer room. I got totally red, and turned right back around and shut the door. When everyone got home FI’s little brother asked their parents if they could let him know when I was there. It was weird at the time, but now it makes me chuckle.

My old roommate and I used to joke that it was “Law and Order” time because somehow that show was ALWAYS on at the right time and either one of us (whoever was…not watching the show, haha) watched the show at high volumes! HA! It’s a really funny joke these days (as long as parents aren’t around!!!) 😉

Honestly, being a guy and it not being on a regular basis it probably doesn’t matter. He was most likely trying to be polite about letting you guys know he came home by shutting the door loudly in case you were planning on continuing your “gaming”. I know that when FI’s friend came over to “level up” one of FI’s visiting friends they would give each other high-fives based on how many times they managed to “level up” us gals. One time I convinced Fiance to do it like 20 times just to make it seem like he was a master lol

This used to happen to us in college all the time! There are a couple ex-roommates I still have a hard time looking in the eye, but only because I’m overly sensitive and embarassed, I’m sure they’ve forgotten all about it (RIGHT? RIGHT? PLEASE GOD)!

I feel you bridetacular!  When my husband lived at his house in college, walls were paper thin and we tried to be polite, but I KNOW I was heard by probably all 5 of his roommates at some point during the year!  Haha.

haha it happens. sure its a little embarrassing but its not like they don’t know you do it. you were obviously trying to be respectful and someone got home early– they can’t be upset about that. the only thing i’d be embarrassed about is if they heard something out-of-the-ordinary. i mean— you didn’t call him Luigi or anything did you? (trying to stick with the video game scenario and failing miserably… heh)

This thread is full of win.

I remember so many times beingheardbut my favourites are:

-morning after throwing a huge party, sleeping in the downstairs basement & the door is closed. My neurotic cat who had been shut out of the room wanted in NOW, so he was slamming himself into the door *thump*bang*thump* annnnnnnnnd my friend with her Boyfriend or Best Friend in the room above us had an OMG/ONTD! moment and decided to compete….with the cat lol.

-FI and I used to work evenings/nights (2.30-11) when he still lived with his dad (who is usually away for work 90% of the time) so we would end up staying up all night and sleeping until before our shifts. Well, apparently after one particularly vocal 4am booty call, Fiance got home from work and all his dad says is “So… YOU had a really good time last night. ” (insert knowing smile here).

LOL!! This thread is hilarious!

There was one time I went on a vacation with my then-boyfriend and a friend of his said we could stay at his apartment because both he and his roommate were going to be out of town. We got in late and pretty much went straight to bed. Well around 4-5am we both woke up and were a little frisky so we did our thing, not trying to be quiet since were on vacation and then went back to sleep.

What he failed to mention is that his parents would also be STAYING THE NIGHT so his mom could finish decorating his apartment (she is an interior designer). Apparently they got in sometime around 1am and pulled out the sofa bed, which by the way shares a wall with the bedroom that we were sleeping in…

His friends dad, being the funny man that he is, woke us up at 9am by pounding on the door. We thought they had just gotten there so I went into the bathroom to change while he went out to chat with them. When I walked out he looks at me and says “Guess what? They got in last night.” I think my face turned 10 different shades of red!

Luckily that was the first and last time I ever met those people!

My FH used to live with three friends.  We used to wake up to spanking and a variety of other things.  We always tried to keep it down when we were home, and one time we were uh, playing games, and thought we were alone.  Right when we were done, we heard some people talking in the front room (next to the bedroom).  I walk out of the bedroom to his friends CLAPPING.  Absolutely mortifying.

You poor thing. I think as long as you are usually respectful, you don’t have anything to worry about. Maybe lay low for a couple of days?

LOL!!!  That is hilarious.  I think even when you try to watch the volume on the video games, every now & then roommates are bound to hear stuff.  Full volume though…classic.  Don’t worry about it too much though unless your roomies are entering priesthood sometime soon…ha jk.
