So I had my dr. appointment today and I am 30 weeks and 2 days today (my calculations were off because I thought I was 30 weeks 4 days…oh well.) What I am so “OMG” about is my weight. I am 163 lbs. OMG. I have gained over 30lbs already and I still have like 10 more weeks to go. OMG! I am just so hungry all the time. It’s not like I am eating junk either… we barely have been eating out at all.
I usually lose a lot of weight in the beginning first 4-5 months of pregnancy so I usually just gain my weight back and a little more, to end around 30lbs overall gained for entire pregnancy. Man, I fear this will be our biggest baby yet. I have yet to give birth to a kid over 7lbs.

I don’t think your weight gain necessarily indicates the size of your baby. I gained 44 lbs during my pregnancy (ugh) and my baby was 6 lbs 7 oz, born at 39 weeks.

@iheartnerds: I think that’s good.. .I would not know what to do with a 7lb baby honestly (my kids were so small and I still tore with 2 of them… my dd was just over 5 lbs).
But I guess if it doesn’t determine size, then I am just loads of fat LOL. Not sure what to do as I am so hungry alll the time and pain keeps me from doing any sort of exercise. It’s funny because I carry the weight so well, you would never guess I was so big.

How much weight you gain doesn’t determine how big your baby will be… I am 37 weeks and have gained a whole 14 pounds, but this little girl is almost 7 lbs already. My good friend gained 50 pounds and had a 7 pound baby at 41 weeks.

@bridalprincess: Same here. People said I looked great throughout my pregnancy. At my shower, no one could believe I was 8 months pregnant.
Now that I’m 8 weeks postpartum, I’ve lost half the weight. The rest seems to all be fat. 🙁 Going to have to work hard to get back to pre-preg weight.
