I actually really like it. What color are you getting it in?

You wouldn’t beleive how thrilled I was to see another bride with a different albeit, similar dress to mine, with color actually ON the dress, but the dress still ‘semi traditional’.. I would say get it cleaned.. It should come clean if it’s done right… And, if you can, post another picture of it, I can’t see the one you posted, I had to go to the link to see what dress it was

edt: the veil is the ‘Belle’ veil from the Alfred Angelo Disney collection 😀

It would be helpful if you could show a picture with you in it.

As for the dress being dirty, research good cleaners in your area.  A good cleaner should be able to take care of it for you.  I’d do that sooner rather than later in case more drastic measures are needed to improve the dress.

You said you were afraid of it looking dated.  I wouldn’t call it one of the current “trendy” styles, but there’s nothing wrong with that.  One of my Facebook friends got married recently, and wore a dress I’d guess was from the mid-90s.  You know what?  She looked beautiful in her dress!  There was nothing “dated” or tacky looking about it, because the dress fit her well and she was a glowing, happy bride.  The dress you posted is a universally flattering style, and I’m sure will look beautiful on you.  The black color makes it unique and edgy, but it’s done in a nice way that keeps things bridal.  It’s a lovely dress, and I don’t think you have anything to worry about!

@abirdword:  Thanks!

@StaticIanC:  Sorry, didn’t intend to threadjack (if you would consider it that), just wanted to show you yours isn’t dated 🙂
