@hollyberry4:  What  do you love about it?

It’s not that expensive. Could you have it shortened?

It is beautiful, but it doesn’t say “after party dress” to me.

It’s a very pretty dress but not really suitable for  an afterparty (depending on what you are doing I guess). Could you get something similar but shorter?

@hollyberry4:  Wow, this dress is beautiful (that lace pattern is so unique).

I like julies1949‘s suggestion to have it shortened. Only, I think making it too short might take away from the beauty of the dress (the length is part of what makes it stunning to me). Although I think deepening the V back even more and shortening the hem would look pretty amazing:

Or, depending on your height, you could alter it to a sexy, fitted midi length:

This might be too risque for you, but you might also think about making it fitted and then adding a side slit (and by slit, I mean thigh slit):

Do you love it MORE than your current wedding dress? I do think it is too formal for an afterparty, but it is a beautiful wedding dress.

@hollyberry4:  Wait, is it an afterparty or reception dress? I think it’s just fine for a reception dress (no alterations needed). I think this dress would look nice on a curvy figure, but you can never really tell until you try it on.

Ooh, very pretty.  I’d get it and change into it about halfway through the reception.

@hollyberry4:  I love a good dress change.  When else can you wear whatever you want and no one gets to say anything b/c you’re the bride g-dammit!  lol

@hollyberry4:  You’re welcome. 🙂 And after seeing photos of you (so pretty), I think the dress would look lovely on you. Plus, it’s a steal! Changing partway through the reception (esp. before the serious dancing starts) would definitely allow you to get away with wearing this for the rest of the night. So, I say…go for it!

If you like it and it’s within your budget, I vote go for it too! My cousins wife changed 4 times (traditional dress, wedding dress, evening dress, farewell dress) I think in my culture it’s normal to change your dress, and the guests love it too :).
