At this point, I think you should just support his decisions to keep applying and just hope for a job regardless of where it is. Like you said, you could live virtually rent free anywhere in the area so I say go for it and cross your fingers. I really hope he gets a job soon as I know how hard it is to be unemployed.

@JM1217: I totally understand what you mean. It’s so hard to watch someone you love go through anguish and being basically powerless. I really hope he gets the job.

Yay! I hope he gets the job! I am keeping my fingers crossed for yall. I am a computer teacher and I love working with and teaching the kids different things on the computer. Its really rewarding 😀

oooh I feel for you!! My Fiance was unemployed for over a year after he graduated uni because there was just nothing open in his field right after the economy crash. It was terrible to watch him get so excited for an interview only to be rejected. The thing is that even though it is so difficult to watch, and feels really helpless to you he still has to keep trying. It sounds like you are trying really hard to be supportive of him, and thats all you can really do. Help him prepare for interviews and console him if he doesn’t get it 🙁 And then of course the fun part of celebrating when he finally does get something! Good luck to you!!
