Okay so there’s David’s Bridal and… who else? I’m not seeing exactly what I want on their site and I don’t know if there are other chains like that.
It seems like Mens’s Warehouse dominates the mensworld and David’s Bridal dominates women. is that true?

I don’t really know of any other b&m discount bridal chains. Maybe you should give DB a chance? I went in just to find out what silhouette looked best on me. I was luke warm about what I saw online. I ended up falling in love with the first dress I tried on and purchased it after trying on about 4 others. I was completely surprised by what I ended up loving on me. A bonus was that the dress was only $299. I think it’s worth a try.

Have you tried Alfred Angelo?

Alfred Angelo is another chain that is less expensive. It is a little more than DB but still not extremely expensive. I would suggest going to look in a DB store, there is sometimes new stuff that isn’t on their website yet.

@ThisDeluxeLife: It’s a good idea to go in to DB, you have nothing to lose. Sometimes the model pictures don’t do the dresses justice. I recently saw a thread on here about that, but here is my model picture vs. how I looked. I think the dress looked better on a real woman than the model.

True, I’ll check it out. I really don’t know what looks good on me and since I’m still losing weight, I don’t know what will look good on me later, either. I’ll take a trip into the store and see what happens later. The planner in me wants to do it all now. RIGHT now. LOL
and WhiteWedding: you know that’s not even fair, right? Why’d you basically clown that little girl? You’re smoking hot in that dress! YOU GO!
@rachelmichelle: nope. never heard of it. thanks for the tip!
