Oh wow so my dress has come in and im going to be one of those brides that say IM IN LUUUUV. lol. I totally love it, its wonderful and the beading is stunning, the stitching is stunning, everthing is totally beyond my dreams LOVE IT!
Thank you everyone as I wouldnt have gone with dressilyme if it wasnt for this website, so thank you for posting your pictures and reviews.
Now, what I need help with… I ordered the dress to my measurements and probably should have gone slightly smaller as it is a corset dress and as you can see in the pictures it ties up very close to each other so lacks a solid V. Cudos to dressily me for making it exactly to my measurements and also doesnt help that i have been loosing weight (im abit crook). What im asking for is opinions from people, my mum laced up my dress today so it was done tighly but not extremely tight, do people think it should be tighter? (im worries about backfat) or does the shape look ok? Also, I think I should have the dress sitting higher (to cover my girls better) do people think that also? (the length does allow that) Also, what are people wearing under their dresses, should I find myself a sexy white strapless number as I have a horror image of my girls falling out lol lol something im not totally keen on.
Also, as you can see im a plus size bride but I think I look hot (not everyday but today I think so lol). People are going to be totally stunned by my dress choice but I hope its ‘wow she looks wonderful and the dress totally suits her personality’ (fun and fluffy btw)
Im 31 and this is my second wedding but luckily I am marrying the love of my life who is kind and sexy and so wonderful.
All your opinions would be a great help, you dont have to answer every question as I realise I have written an essay lol but please try.

Your dress is so pretty! I think the way it’s done up in the picture is perfect. The shape looks really great on you.
As for under the dress, most bridal stores have different things you can try on. I have a very large chest (40F) and I have a bra-boustier underneath as well as a slip. It looks just like this picture:

Thank you lyndzo, the other month I bought from hipsncurves (another place I found because of this page) a Daisy Embroidered Basque in black, so I might try and find one in white. Thanks for your comments, I love davids bridal, unfortunatley they wouldnt post to me in Australia and I am wearing a hoop slip underneath this dress too. Im a 20Dirty Delete. I would love to buy the one you suggested – especially knowing your large chested and recommend it if only they would post to me. lol.

I would definitely recommend pulling the dress up higher, which will help with the back and make sure you don’t have any girl slips!
I think it looks amazing on you! And congrats on the weight loss, I know how hard it can be. I would look for an alteration company, they should be able to take it in in places without touching the corset part.

Thanks Candykiss, I think next time i try it on that I will have it alot higher and see how that looks.

The dress IS gorgeous! I agree with everything you said though– the dress needs to sit a bit higher, in my opinion, and the corset is too tight. However, I would THINK (not positive) that if you were able to do up the corset properly it would hold your dress up higher.
It looks like you’ve got lots of time until your wedding and you are losing more weight! (Oh I can only wish that would happen with me!) I would contact a seamstress in your area to see how much alterations would cost and how much time it would take to fit the corset back. I believe to fix the back they alter the seams at the sides of the dress.

My first thought was that it needs to come up a bit higher. I don’t think the corset looks like a problem but if you lose some more weight or the dress is falling down, I would look into possibly altering it. Also, keep in mind, it will fit different with a bra under it if you are not currently wearing one. Even though you have substantial “girls” I would suggest a bra with a bit of padding/lift may be all you need to make the dress a bit tighter and hold it up.

O M G I am soooooooooo glad I stumbled upon this post! you have made me feel soooooooo much better! I have ordered this SAME dress from dressilyme.com and it’s in the packaging stage right now! They didn’t send me pics and I’ve been FREAKING out as I couldn’t find pics of the dress anywhere else. I could just KISS YOU! It’s amazing, and you will look amazing!!!

Wow! You look Great! I think if you are worried about slippage, it could come up a little higher. Sorry I am no expert at bras.

I agree, I think you should try it again with it higher up. That might help with having the corset a bit wider as well. If it still laces too close together; you could take it to someone and have it taken in at the sides; so the corset will be wider. It should lace up securley and feel like it’s holding the ‘girls’ in. You may not need a bra then.

What are you wearing for a veil? shoes??? necklace?? lol can ya tell I’m obsessed with this dress as well?? Also, what do you think of the flowers? I am kind of thinking of having mine removed. I’m torn. More pics if ya can!!

Hi everyone, thank you for your wonderful comments I really appreciate it. I think next time I will try have have it laced much higher and see what that does, also I think your totally right takemyhand that maybe it is abit too tight?!?! it does look that in the photos but it didnt feel like that when I had it on – totally wierd. I think having it up higher will make a difference and then will make the corset back wider as itsup my ribcage higher – omg does that even make sense lol.
To pitymama, omg you will not be dissappointed I LOVE my dress and these photos do not to it justice – they didnt send me photos either btw. I have attached some more photos for you to see. I am also wearing the two hoop steel corset underneath and it makes a big difference to I recomment it if you havnt already ordered it.
Also, what do people think about this hair photo attached, do you think that will look good with this dress. My hair is similar colour and length as the girl. Only I wont have the photos.
Also my FMI bought me my necklace and earings and it totally fits with this dress. Its a simple square jewel on a silver chain. Perfect because there is so much going on with this dress that i dont need much more bling I think.
My shoes however will be different not sure yet but they will have lots of attitude. lol
oh and one more thing…. totally i think keep the flowers on the dress. they are gorjus.

OMG you are ME on the other side of the world I swear! The hair is exactly what I want too! I haven’t ordered a petticoat yet, I totally forgot and now it’s to late (or it’ll take longer to get my dress) I’ll figure that out soon though. What are your colors?? My whole these is fun flirty and sexy, yes, sexy, most will probably think it’s the tackiest thing, but I will have feathers, and zebra print and bling! black and fuschia. Thanks for the new pics, they are amazing, I am dying here, I just want my dress! My shoes will be fuschia abd BLING!!!! Feather bouquets etc.
I am going to order this veil as it has some bling in it, and might pass on a necklace all together, and go for nice earrings and a bling-y bracelette.
I found the shoes I want the other day, my heart litterally stopped and I tried them on, and it was like a cinderella moment! I will pick them up next week hopefully!!
