@JalapenaLena:

I tweeze my eyebrows myself. I don’t use pencil but I fill it in with an angle brush and a dark brown eyeshadow ( I use espresso by Mac). After that I use a lighter concealer with my Mac 252 brush and lightly put it beneath my eyebrow..about one to two shades lighter than your skin. Make sure you blend it out! Some people do this on top too but I only do the bottom of my eyebrows. Then use an eyebrow brush and brush the beginning of your eyebrows so it doesn’t look drawn on. You can set it with a brow gel ( I use Maybelline’s Great Lash clear gel). Finito! There are dozens of videos on Youtube.

I wear makeup pretty much every weekend but not so much during the week unless I go somewhere special after work like a date or something with the Fiance. But on the weekends I do primer, MAC Studio Fix Foundation, a Black Radiance concealer (from Walmart) to conceal the dark circles under my eyes, and set it with a MAC finishing powder! Some Loreal blush and I’m good to go! I go back and forth with lipstick I’m a chocolate girl so I’m very careful with my lipstick selection, lol!

I’m all about Mary Kay and Covergirl. My friend who sells Mary Kay stays on top of my skin care routine. She’s also designing a color palette for all 8 of my ladies for the wedding day so their makeup compliments their dress, skin, and season. That’s definitely something not available to a lot of AA brides with makeup consults these days.

I only do eyes daily (liner, masc, and shawdow) and foundation for VERY special occasions.  I’m 30 something and have always rec’d compliments on how clear and nice my skin is. I would like that to continue the whole way thru!! LOL. I know too many people that have always worn foundation and look horrible when they have NO makeup on. I don’t want that to happen to me.

@PennyTee: I am having my foundation airbrushed. In the Jamaican heat I heard it was a MUST! I have done it before, it is a great look and perfect if you want your make up to last all day!

@Cupcake1382: awesome!! thanks bc I am really nervous about it bc I won’t be able to “try” it out with the actual stylist  before hand bc my ceremony is out of town….

My cousin is a model and she gets it done all the time and it looks really good and natural on her. I am only getting an airbrushed bronzer so I can look a little golden on my big day. 🙂

Here’s a pic from my makeup trial… I loved it… just wanted more lip color!

I dont wear makeup daily outside of eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss.  The makeup artist did use Mac foundation with a setting spray so that it doesn’t fade/run/etc.  She also used bronzer on my collar bone as well as a little highlighting powder on my t-zone.

@PennyTee: I had airbrush for my wedding.  It was wonderful.  It literally lasted for a good 10hrs and through beach wind, sun exposure and some sweaty moments.  I only had to re-apply my lipstick.
