Jacqui90:  Les Miserables is one of my favorite books, I read it years ago when I was on a classic literature kick. The A Song of Ice and Fire series is a favorite as well.

I don’t have much time to actually read books anymore, but I listen to a lot of audiobooks. Right now I’m on the 8th book in the Outlander series (the last one that’s been written). I love the book series and the TV series.

SithLady:  I’m listening to the 2nd Outlander Book right now! Grad School sucked up all my reading for pleasure time- and then I fell in love with audiobooks.

Now, it’s summer and I’m listening to an audiobook, and finally reading my illustrated copy of the 1st Harry Potter book that I had pre-ordered with delusions I’d have time to read.

I also just went to an amazing bookstore in Columbus, and picked up a few more things to read.

Props if you get through A Song Of Fire And Ice. I read the first 4 (which at times was a struggle) but gave up half way through the 5th. Its probably the only time I will ever admit that I like the TV show better than the books and decided I’ll just wait for the show to tell me how it ends 🙂 I do have friends that enjoyed the books though.

I actually just started reading A Court of Mist and Fury, so I am not sure how good it will be yet but I enjoyed the first book in the series.

I just finished “What She Knew” by Gilly MacMillan. It took me 6 hours start to finish but I couldn’t put it down. It is a very addictive book.

I’m reading The Luckiest Girl in the World (seems a bit like a beach read to me). Just finished The Paris Wife which was quite good.

Les Miserable is such a long read, beautifully written but Hugo goes into such tangents. Yes, I realize why but dang it. Half the time I was thinking “I don’t care that the preist was too short to reach the top shelf” or “Who cares about Javier’s father’s history in Waterloo”! Get to the point! Amazing sotry though.

I’m still on Every Man in This Village is a Liar; an education in war by Megan Stack. The subject matter is so sad, profound on the American’s impact in the Middle East during our occupations. I feel like reading too fast doesn’t let the heavy subject matter really sink in.

Next is Jitterbug Perfum by Tom Robbins, a nice little break after such a strong subject.

Jacqui90:  Do you know who the narrator for your copy of Pride and Prejudice is?

I’m about halfway through with House Of Leaves…it’s pretty good so far! Next I’m going to finish the Neopolitan Novels series! I am trying to pace myself with the last book because I don’t want it to be over.

Jacqui90:  Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. A friend recommended it to me and I think it’s been mentioned on here as well! So I am reading that. I bought all three in the series (will there be more?) and I like the first book so far (about 1/3 of the way through), so I am hoping I like it enough to finish all three!
