I plan on DIY-ing flowers and using flowers for bouqets and baby’s breath for centerpieces so I hope to only spend a few hundred, no where near 1000!

I decided to go with silk flowers and found a great vendor on eBay, I had 38 pieces total for just under 400.00, and several people commented on how great they looked. If you are wanting to do real flowers, check out Sam’s Club online under their weddign packages. Prices are about 1/3 of what most florists are charging.

I am spending $800 on flowers and that includes my bouquet, 6 Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets, 8 bouts, and flowers for 14 centerpieces (I collected vintage vases so it won’t take too many flowers to fill up each vase), plus delivery etc. I am skipping ceremony florals, since I’m having an outdoor wedding under an oak tree – instead i’m just using flower petals to decorate the aisle.

We won’t be doing centerpieces but I’m setting aside about $1,000 for my bouquet, 3 Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets, 3 corsages, 10 bouts, Flower Girl flower wreaths, and one or two arrangements.  My planning book suggested 5-6% of the budget, but I have no idea if that’s actually doable.

oh, and probably some aisle decor for the ceremony.

We commissioned my florist for 12 tall floral reception centerpieces, 2 smaller centerpieces for the sign in table, 6 floral centerpieces for the wedding ceremony, and an 9 feet tall archway covered in flowers and greenery for about $1800. It also includes set up and break down of the ceremony and reception decorations.

I budgeted an additional $500 for the bridal party’s bouquets, about 30 bouts, and my bouquet. These flowers my sisters and I are making ourselves to help cut some costs.

I think it’s maybe 7000-8000. I haven’t thought about it since last summer but I think that’s where it’s going to end up.

It really depends on where you are and how much research you do. I have 5 BM’s, 5 GMs, 2 Jr BMs, and a flower girl…we also are having flower arrangements for our alter area and then have 13 tables. We were being quoted $1500-1800 and some people wouldn’t even talk to me unless I wanted to spend around the $1800. Flowers really weren’t an area I wanted to spend the money and wanted to keep my budget around $1100. We were lucky enough to find a florist who quoted us $700 and we’re making a deal with her and trading our crystal vases (used for the centerpiece flowers) for the price of the flowers for the centerpieces and it’s cutting almost $200 off our budget!!

In the end we paid over $6K for flowers, but then again it was really important to me.

In reading the list of things you hope to cover in your budget I would say that is pretty unreasonable, especially if you aren’t going to DIY. I guess it all depends on what is involved in your ‘ceremony flowers’ and how elaborate your tall centerpieces end up being.

I have 6 BMS, 6bouts, 30 centerpieces, decoration for the chuppah and my bouquet of course. I will be coming in at around 6-7K. But it really depend what kind of flowers you want, how big the centerpieces will be, etc.

Your budget sounds low to me, I’d say 2500 at the least. I paid a little over 2k for my bouquet, 4 bm bouquets, ceremony decor and 6 low /4 high centerpieces. Tall centerpieces are going to be at least $100, thats 1500 already.

It really depends on which florist you choose and prices in your area, but around here I’d think you’d need to spend at least $2k for what you’re looking for. We’re doing 15 centerpieces, some sort of nice arrangement to go on the arbor, one Bridesmaid or Best Man and one Groomsmen, and it’s running around $3k.

We spent about $700 on my bouquet, three poseys for the moms, two large arrangments and 12 or so small centerpieces.

For my first wedding I went to the local supermarket and ordered my bouquet, 5 bridesmaids, 2 junior bridesmaids, 5 groomsmen boutteniere’s and DH1’s and the coursages for each of our mothers and I paid roughly $440, freshly put together and delivered to my mother’s house.

This time I am DIYing my flowers with paper, because I think they look really cool!!  All the supplies for my bouquet plus a bridesmaid cost $11, they’re not totally finished yet but here’s an idea.  These are my bridesmaid’s flowers, mine have different jewels in them and there will  be about 18 flowers in it instead of 7:
