(Closed) OK can we stop being snarky about how people spend money?

heh… I’m still dazzled at how much people spend on events (not just weddings, mind you) and don’t understand the reasoning behind it.  

Of course, I’ve learned to be a VERY practical person, so that’s probably why.  

If anyone were to walk into our apartment, they’d probably question our spending habits.  Multiple computers, Wii, Gamecube, my FI’s guitars, swords, and toys (not just for the kids, either!)

I haven’t put ANYONE down about how much they spend on anything (not on here, anyway.  Family, yeah, but it was because he was getting ‘fun stuff’ instead of paying bills and buying food).  Nor would I.  I MIGHT question it if I knew that they couldn’t afford it, but I would still add on “it’s your decision”.

Besides, if people didn’t spend a fortune on weddings, how could those of us on budgets try to duplicate it? 😉  We gotta have SOMETHING to try to duplicate on a budget, right???
