I saw that on the news this morning. Wow… I mean just… wow.

Awful — seems like hotel management/security didn’t act quickly or severely enough. The original conflict was between two brothers (I believe — relatives, anyway) at one wedding, and then it spilled over somehow to the other wedding party.

@KatyElle:  I think I remember reading yesterday that an uncle suffered a heart attack and died a couple hours later.

Some people don’t deserve to be in public.  🙁

The report said the man who died was not part of either wedding…

What a bunch of assholes.

WOW.  How could it have spilled over to the other wedding?  People are crazy!

Gosh that I just awful. I feel so bad for both brides and for the family of the man who died. What a terrible way to celebrate your wedding!

Such craziness!  My husband an I actually took an impromptu trip down to Philly that night (my brother lives there and just got engaged!), and as we were leaving from our late night snack at Darling’s, there were TONS of cop cars and ambulances speeding by.

Yesterday my husband showed me the story, and said “so THAT’S what was going on!”

The weirdest part is that my husband was thinking of seeing how close we were to the hotel we stayed in the last time we went to Philly, and wanted to see how far a walk it was.  I was too sleepy – thank goodness, because it was the same Sheraton!

Klassy.  I feel bad for the people in both weddings who behaved themselves, and I especially feel bad for that poor guy that suffered the heart attack.
