I think it’s nice but if I can be completely honest I think you look much prettier and age-appropriate with your hair down and wavy than done in this coif.

I don’t see why you couldn’t have your hair up and still be age appropriate.  But I would suggest a couple changes.  One is that I think the part is too far over.  It would look better closer to the middle of your head.  I did a trial with a similar part, so speaking from experience here.  I also think it will look neater and will be easier to make it look neat if you do not pull it to one side.  The texture of the ‘do is casual, so I think it needs some symmetry from being in the middle of your head, rather than to the side.

I think it’s lovely!  It’ll look great with your dress and headband.

I think it’s really pretty, but I do wish that your hair had a little bit more movement.  I think the updo is fabulous, but it just looks a little stiff.  Any way to lighten it up a bit?

Agree that down or half up may be the way to go.  There’s something about it I don’t like to be honest… I can’t put my finger on it.

Sorry OP Im not a fan of your hair. It looks great from the back but the front is doing nothing for me. I dont like the whole wavy old age bang thing (not just on you Im not a fan when I see that on anyone) You can still do an up do for sure but just play around with the front a bit. Good Luck!

I’m not a fan of the bangs, personally, but the back is really pretty 🙂

Honestly, I didn’t even realize it was you in the hair pictures! It just looks so stiff and unmovable.  Your dress is romantic (and GORGEOUS) and I think soft waves with braids would be perfect to continue the romance.

I really like the back but I’m not into the finger waves in the front. I would ask the stylist to use a barrel curling iron and curl the front pieces without clamping the iron and loosely pin them back. I agree with many of the posters above, it looks a little stiff in the front, and I think it’s the finger waves that are doing this. Check out BHLDN’s site, they have a REALLY beautiful interpretation of a faux bob on their landing page right now with with how-to instructions.
