I started my mission Sunday…. so I am just a few days into it. My bf and I live together and I have been with him for almost 2 years. I dont see any clear signs were headed down the aisle anytime soon.
I have decided to completly focus on myself. My needs. My goals. I am respectful and make time for him, but he is no longer my life. He is starting to see this and it is effecting him. Today for the first time I saw results in his behavior. Calling from work, flying home to see me before I had to go to work. Trying to make plans to do something alone.
I will continue to put my needs first. This is vital. Men want a woman who respects herself and demands it. Wish me luck and I will update my progress as my mission continues….

You often truly don’t know what you have until you don’t anymore. He is feeling it! I see that with my Fiance too now that I’ve switched to night shift. I come home when or after he leaves for work (mostly after) and he often gets home after I leave in the evening. We may catch a glimpse of each other as we’re walking out the door. When I work 3-4 days in a row, we don’t see each other for almost a week! He is extra lovey with me lately and it makes the time we have together so much more meaningful.

@Nurse_Bee: O you are so right. Mine has been coming home everyday for lunch. I am curious and excited to see how this will continue to effect him.

OK week 2 of my ‘mission’ if you guys have read some of my other threads…. you would know my bf and I broke up briefly and have since been trying to reconciliate. He is definately trying more, but my goal is simply ME. Make him less of a priority. So far so good. The gym is going great I have some new business opportunities on the horizon. As a result he has been wanting to schedule ‘date night’ (even tho we live together) and its always with other married couples. He has been talking about his married friends some and dropping little hints too.
