I posted asking for advice about dresses a little while ago and I realized that the more opinions that I got, the more I knew my own mind. Does that make sense? It’s like flipping a coin and realizing when it’s in the air which one you want more. Listen to that voice inside you.

From what you wrote, it sounds like deep down you really want the first one. It fits your personality well and you said you’ve “dreamed of different colors or floral gowns,” which that dress certainly is. The only hang-up seems to be that it’s not bridal enough. Don’t worry about that! I say go for it if it’s the dress that makes you happiest!

Tough choice. I really love coloured wedding gowns as they are unique so I always pick them over the same gown in white/ivory. But holy cow the shape of dress 3 is amazing and fits your figure perfectly so that wins my vote.

mnl2017 : I voted for #2 or #3. Normally, I don’t like to say anything overly negative, but the first dress is not flattering at all. And I love colored dresses! There are plenty of blingy colored dresses available that will flatter you a lot more than the first dress, sorry bee. Happy Shopping!! xoxo

Not really crazy about any of the options. I really am not a fan of that flower belt. I think you can find better options so I voted to keep looking!

mnl2017 : The blingy dress is stunning! I voted for that one. They all look good on you. My second choice would be the more fitted third dress. Your body language in the pictures looks like you are way more comfortable with the first and third dresses than the second dress. Have you tried them both with the veil or headpiece style you plan to wear? That can help. What kind of dress were you looking for originally? (Not style wise, but feeling wise.) For example, I wanted something romantic with a fantasy feel. When I really liked a dress that looked good on me, I would think about that and if it didn’t fit I moved on. THE dress was only the third dress I tried on, though, so I didn’t move on very far. It did fit the same feel that I had been looking for, though. Good luck!

mnl2017 : Wow. The blingy pinkish dress is just amazing. I think the third dress does show off your figure more, but the first one totally has that “wow” factor.

As someone else who went for a non traditional dress I’d say go for the pink one! You sound like you’re torn on the whole traditional vs non traditional aspect ( I was too) but in the end realised I loved the non traditional dress so much more, I was just afraid if I didnt have the tradtiional dress I might be missing out. I’ve never felt so beautiful than the day I wore my non traditional dress, no regrets! If you feel fabulous in the pink one thats the one I would choose, it looks great on you 🙂

O vote the first dress because it is unique and beautiful. However I’m not crazy about that belt, I find the flower on it is too much. I think a belt with crystal on it like a previous bee posted will be fantastic or if you prefer a simpler belt.
The second dress is very similar to what lots of brides wear. The third dress is beautiful on you but it is very traditional. If your heart is not set on traditional, keep looking.

I voted for the 3rd based only on the the pictures. However, I feel like you are truly in love with the 1st one and should go with that one. It also looks great on you! You sound like that one is “you”.

You guys are awesome! All of the opinions are really helpful and pinpoint how I felt about some things but wasn’t sure how to articulate to myself.
To adress some things, the crystal belt is so pretty and thank you for pointing me to it. I am going to just have white flowers put in my hair with it left down so no veil. The first dress is Oleg Cassini and they told me that was the only one that was made into a sample and now its discontinued but who knows if that was a hard sell. They made it sound like it was one of a kind. I love the material and colors but I just wish it was in the shape of 2 or 3 I think. My girls didn’t respond to 3 as well at all so its really interesting to get the bees opinions on it. They said it seemed matronly which I didn’t understand as its a bit more lowcut and figure forming. I love the feel of 2 as its very soft and light and I like the fit. But I am stuck in the it looks like so many other gowns thing. And then I say nonsense and try to just choose the one I like best. I wish I had a million dollars and could just combine aspects of all.
Thank you for the continued votes and opinions. I do think its helping formulate what I do and don’t like. And thank you for such nice compliments on my figure! I want to put you all in my pocket for those days Im feeling down on my body!

For the bee thatasked for a more straight on shot of 2 sorry I don’t know how to resize and this is the closest I have to straight! We all laughed and said we should have made sure we had comparable poses for all dresses. Oh well. And I don’t have the back shot of it on my phone darn it!
