My fiance just called and told me. I feel physically sick. it’s all paid for.
We’re just trying to find out now if they still have my dress. OMG. Just when I was starting to feel like I could relax and enjoy the last few weeks!

who is the designer of your dress? if something has happened to the store and they already put the order in for your dress you may still get it. i would contact the store if possible and if you can’t, contact the dress designer.
how long ago did you place your dress order? don’t freak out yet, there may be hope.

OMG, I will keep my fingers crossed for you that your dress is there and ok. Do you know if your dress is in yet? If it isn’t maybe you can get ahold of the designer and have it sent to you instead.

that’s something you can find out from the designer, if your dress was ordered through them yet and if they received it.

@Soon2BeeMrsG: This happened where I live earlier this year. Here the law was if you had paid for your dress in full but had not yet picked it up by law they were required to deliver the dress to you (because you own it) but if it was only part paid for and in store then it was bad luck. A lot of brides contacted their designer (who the salon would have had to order the dress from) to find out its status and if they were still being made in the factory then they were able to pay the designer direct or transfer to another bridal salon (a few stepped up tot he plate to help out the brides) to pay the rest for the completion of the dress.
Hopefully you can work something like the above out.

Dress was ordered back in January. I didn’t get a call to say it had arrived but I had the appointment booked when I purchased the dress with the assumption it would be in by then.
I’m just trying to find out if they have it or if I can get it.

You shouldn’t have a problem getting the dress. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you! That’s truly terrible.

Yikes! Hopefully you can still get your dress from them or the designer somehow! Good luck.

Thank you all for your support with my freak out on Friday it was an incredibly stressful situation!
Well after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing I’ve managed to get my dress back and I still TOTALLY adore it 🙂 I still need to get the dress altered but frankly it’s no stress in comparison to wondering if I still had a dress for the big day!
If your wondering what all the fuss is about, the pics of the dress when I originally tried it on are below

i am so glad you got your dress. it’s beautiful.
for alterations, i would contact other bridal salons to see if they could do the alterations or where they would recommend going to. the seamstress should specialize in bridal wear.
