@bridalprincess:  Why won’t you call them? Fiance was supposed to call his Aunt before he left for two weeks and never did it so I ended up having to call this lady that I’ve never ever met in my life to ask her for her brothers address.

The question is do you really want to invite them? Doesn’t seem so seeing that you’re not really trying to get their addresses aside from using Facebook.

I had a couple folks like that on facebook that were old friends/roommates and I didn’t get a reply or they replied congratulations but not with the address I just didn’t bother.  Truthfully they weren’t close enough to me for me to call them up anyway.  I think you should consider how important it is for them to get the invite if they are that long lost friend just let it go.  I even had folks that I sent the invite to but didn’t RSVP and I facebook messaged them for a response and nothing so no worries some folks will just be like that I guess.

If you sent them save the dates, you really should make the effort to get their addresses and invite them. I miss FB messages ALL THE TIME. I would be upset if someone didn’t invite me to their wedding simply because I missed a FB message.

I think that we overdo it sometimes on trying to include people. You know what? If someone wants to be included, they do what tis needed to make that possible. If someone isn’t close enough that you already have their address, and they don’t provide it when specifically asked, don’t waste an invite on them. These are the people who won’t rsvp later, if you chase them down now.

@ProfessorGirl:  Or you could be like me who has a facebook account and never logs into it?

OP you should call these people.

I agree with professorGirl,  if they never responded and you are questioning wether to worry and send them an invite or not, then its just not worth it. I agree that even if you do call them, get their address and send them an invite they wont RSVP and if you track them down again  and get a “yes” rsvp, they’ll be no shows .

Is there any other way to get their address? Not to be stalkerish, but how if they own a home you can try property tax records for their town, most are online.

I had Fiance do that and setup an event to get their addresses. He still has 10 ppl to contact about their addresses, 3 of them are in the WP!!! The event expired (I was expecting them to respond by June 30) so he’s just going to private message family that needs to be there only to get their addresses.

call them!  I NEVER check facebook messages.  Don’t assume they have seen them and just haven’t replied.
