I used to be facinated by this show! Really don’t like how they handle finances – they clearly can’t afford to have that many children and buy all those luxury cars. Cody seems to me like a big kid who is playing house.
I know that they say this lifestyle is supposed to make them the best person they can be by focing them into these very strained relationships, but I sometimes wonder if the sheer number of relationships they have serves as a distractions. A lot of their relationships seem very shallow (especially between the sister wives), even though some have lived together a long time.

IDK if you watched big love but that reminds me of Vernie and Jojo. (Don’s 2nd and 3rd wives). I LOVED Big Love. Not really as into the reality of Sister Wives.

See I actually think that is an instinct a lot of us have. Lots of ‘pack’ animals built around a social pack are female related in some way. So having mothers, daughters, nieces all together raising their cubs/babies together is in a way natural to so many species and prehaps even our own. I think the ‘lone male’ per pack aspect is not natural to humans though. I think in hard core carnivores like lions where they only need one male and feeding additional ones is a waste of sometimes scarce resources it makes sense.
