Its a nice gesture to give them to grandparents too, if they are alive.

From what I understand, it helps the photog know who are VIP

We did bouts for all the groomsmen, ushers, ring bearer, dads and grandfathers (and the groom of course!).  Corsages went to moms, grandmothers and my 9/10 year old cousins who helped hand out programs.  I’ve seen guestbook attendants and soloists get corsages as well.

Much like soonerpsych, my husband, the groomsmen, ring bearer, and dads got bouts.  Moms, flower girl, and our soloist got corsages.  We did not have any grandparents in attendance (all but my grandmother, who has dementia, are deceased).  We would have bought bouts/corsages for them.

We probably should have got corsages for our readers, since they were DH’s cousins, but we forgot.  Oops!
