This girl from high school who was a bully, wore the same dress I was about to buy! Maybe this feeling will pass with time, but I just feel so disgusted that this mean-spirited girl who gave me some hell moments picked the same dress as I did and she got to wear it first! AHHHH this is stupid! I should just love the dress I love knowing there has to be other people in the world who has worn it! Just venting!!!!

It’s a bummer that she was so awful to you! And venting is totally okay! Just don’t forget that if this dress was “the one” before you found out she wore it and it looked so fabulous on you that you chose it for your wedding, it still looks just as fabulous! Don’t let a bullyget you down! This is a celebration about you and your love!

@cortneyc: Agreed. She may have been a jerk, but this dress is yours on your big day, no one will know or compare.
I get it, though. Sort of like how some baby names are out the window because of who you associate them with, lol. It’s only natural to associate things, but this dress should be all about your love and the big day and your excitement for it!

@CrispyRN: I totally know how you feel. This girl, that I don’t know but know her husband, wore my dress, and I HATED the way it looked on her (which has led me to checking out Jeannine’s posts!).
So I’ve been having lots of issues going back and forth as to whether or not I really love the dress because I didn’t like the way it looked on someone else. It looked so sparkly and pretty when I tried it on in the store, but it looked blah on the girl…kind of like an embroidery mess (at least that’s what’s in my head).
As one of my Maid/Matron of Honor told me, “Yes, y’all have the same dress, but you’re going to own it when you wear it, and it’ll look completely different…and probably a million times better too!” It made me feel better since she said it, so maybe that will help you too! Just rock it!

Thanks girls! Yes, it’s the same dress, but it’ll definitely look different and I will rock it my way!
@NDBee: I agree with the baby names thing! LOL
