marsharama :  I didn’t want it to turn into a huge thing and I don’t really love being the center of attention, but I wanted an outside opinion. I took one good friend who I knew would be super honest and we had a great time. Went to 2 stores, then for drinks. Fun, still felt like a special time, but didn’t end up like a circus. Do what you feel comfortable with and don’t forget to enjoy it 🙂

It’s perfectly fine to go alone. I went alone when I bought the dress for my first wedding.  This time, I could go with my mom, sis, bridesmaids, etc, but that thought stresses me out and it just wouldn’t be a good way for me to choose a dress.

I’m with you, I always go shopping alone so no one can complain how long I take!

I did and it was the best experience! I went with my mom and sister and my maid of honor the first time and felt pressured to say yes to a dress after only having tried on three! I said yes and had dress regret immediately. Ended up getting out of my contract miraculously but lost my deposit. I went alone and only tried on dresses I wanted to and had no opinions but my own and I found my perfect dream dress! I ended up going back with my mama to say yes to it in with me but I think I needed to go alone to really find out what I wanted
