Knowing me, and I’m sure he would agree, I’ll probably bask in the engagement afterglow for a few minutes and then slyly slip in the planning. Lol.

I’m eager to get started on the planning and he knows it. So we’ll see how long I can hold back that impulse once we are engaged.

I don’t know what most people do, but I imagine once I’m engaged I’ll probably spend the rest of the day being too excited to do anything besides look at the new ring, but then the next day it’ll be ON.

@tea:  Agree!  🙂  I’d probably get a jump on it too… what am I saying?  We already have thought of lots of ideas. LOL  I’ll have the venue I want on speed dial.

@DaisyCakes: haha, yeah, we have a venue in mind [I’m ready to book it this second] and pretty much planned out most of the details together, including a date. At least he’s well prepped in my planning frenzies. His head shouldn’t spin too much. 🙂

So and I aren’t even engaged yet, but we’ve already run down a rough draft of a guest list and have been researching (internet, email type of researching) possible venues.  SO is supposed to propose before EOY and we want to get married next fall, so I figured best to start early!  At first he was nervous about me talking about it but then he got like really excited and brings it up all the time!

We waited a few months to talk about the actual wedding b/c we wanted to enjoy engagement and had some other things to finish first before getting started on wedding planning. I know both sides: some girls had their venue booked a week later and others, like myself, waited a while. It really is up to what you want. You might want to ask him when he sees you getting married or how long of an engagement you guys want…that way you can get an idea as to when to start talking about it.

We’ve been engaged about three weeks or so and I kind of just started talking to him about it. He really doesn’t care, lol. It’s kind of whatever I say goes, so I just fill him in with what I’ve been thinking and such. 😛
