So, first of all…my Maid/Matron of Honor is a member of the board, so if you’re reading this, stop now. 🙂
Okay…so my fiance was against this idea, but I wanted to see eveyone else’s opinion. I didn’t really want to get my bridal party the traditional gifts–jewelry, bags, etc., in large part because I don’t think they’d get used beyond the day. I do want to get everyone something that they would like, that I may get as a regular gift. And one thing I was thinking of getting, at least for 2, a book.
My sister is really into baking, and just started a culinary program focusing on baking. I was thinking, to be wedding related, I could get her a book on how to make wedding cakes (tying in the wedding thing). I think ultimately, she wants to own a bakery, and it seems like starting now to learn about baking wedding cakes could be helpful. I’ve gotten her a few books about baking and she seems to really like using them. So, I’m not sure…
I’m also thinking for my Maid/Matron of Honor, possibly getting a Christian female focused book. (Both areas that are meaningful and significant to her). Not knowing what that book would be, I’d have to do some more research about that.
But, what do you all thing? How is this as an idea? Is it too silly?
