Yeah… I will too.  And such is life!  I am who I am regardless and he loves me regardless ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for the positive message xx

In the end, it’s the smile on your face that really matters the most! Laughing

Cheers to your positive attitude!

This may sound cheesy, but your weight fluctuates throughout time…it’s your attitude about life that matters. And hey, it sounds like you’re one cool person!

@sherryberry:  it’s good to be accepting of your body, but do not call yourself fat!!!

i know personally I am trying to lose weight before my wedding, but I’m don’t doing it because I feel pressured by society or anything… I’m doing it because I personally want to be in better shape. I do not really have a “goal weight”. When I feel comfortable, I feel strong, and I feel confident then I will have reached my goal.

@CiaArielleNeugebauer:  Why not? Fat is fat, its not an insult. No more than a skinny person calling themselves skinny is.

me too.  I’m not 100% happy about it, but you’re right, it’s how I am and he loves me for me and it’s unreasonable for me to expect to look like a super model.

I work out 5+ times per week, I eat healthy MOST of the time, but my inability to eat healthy ALL the time has sabotaged my weight loss efforts.  I lost about 30 lbs since May (I had 90 to lose…), but have gained 10 back in the last month.  Today I re-comitted to weight watchers, and am even thinking of going back to meetings, because apparently I am unable to lose weight “just doing it online” (aka not really doing it).

I have just under 5 months until my wedding, so I’m reasonable about my expectations, though I’m hoping I can lose about 20 lbs in that time, putting me at 40 lbs lost.  If I could lose 30 lbs I’d be very happy.  I am a pretty athletic person (I can run 6 miles at a time, even though I’m heavy), and proportionate, and have a pretty face, and I will be beautiful on my wedding day regardless!  (though my dress won’t zip unless I lose a few inches in my waist…)

*Sigh* Me too. Sadly not nearly so okay with it, but at the same time I do not feel like killing myself with some crazy diet and getting burned out on over exercising to get myself to some arbitrary ideal. I’ll continue to (slowly) work my way to healthy my way. Hopefully I won’t hate myself in my wedding photos too much.

@allyfally:  there are just words that tend to have negative connotation… I made a personal goal to try not using those negative words. As a young girl I was teased for being “short” , “scrawny”, and “skinny”. I view these as negative terms now so I try to say “petite”, “tiny” and “thin”. Since I got mono and gained a ton of weight (mono screwed my metabolism) I did feel fat and pudgy and very unhappy with myself… So I started trying to replace negative words with positive words… Like curvy or big.

i still want to go back to how I looked before I got mono, but I’m trying to make peace with my current body in case I can’t. I just view fat as being negative

@CiaArielleNeugebauer:  Idk, I’d rather be called fat than big.

using euphemisms means that we thing the actual correct word is offensive.

so, kudos for saying fat, and not “a little overweight” “above my average weight” or “big framed”

Honestly, I started going to this “Weight Control Clinic” and they gave me all these crazy diets!!! So I said to myself HELL NO!!! I’m getting all the massages and stuff but there is no way I’m going to turn my wedding into torture!!!

So I will walk down the aisle with a dress that makes me feel gorgeous and those extra pounds and feel HOT!!!

I got married a month ago and I was fat and I looked beautiful on my wedding day. He loved me fat before that day and still does.
