@FoxyBride14:  I agree with you, too.  Being served pizza at a wedding would be very disappointing.  I order pizza on cold winter days when I’m too lazy to leave the house.  It’s not something I’d be happy to see at a wedding reception, especially if I were dressed up. Apparently, everyone else thinks pizza sounds awesome.  So what do I know?

Sounds like a good meal to me. We ordered by the pound and set up a BBQ buffet because it was cheaper and yummier than the catered food you usually get at a wedding. I would rather eat something that tastes good than something that looks fancy but tastes bland.

@MsquareM:  Haha just one of those differences. I wouldn’t do it in Europe!

As long as the restaurant can manage the logistics (making sure the pizzas arrive hot and stay hot) I think it’s a great idea.

These threads always make me LOL when bees say pizza isn’t “wedding food” like “wedding food” is something to write home about.  I’ll take hot, gooey pizza over rubber chicken any day.

We had wedding pizza and the guests LOVED it! We had 100 people at our wedding, and ordered 50 pizzas. We had nearly 20 pizzas left over! We catered for SIL, who has severe allergies to a lot of foods, to be safe. It was a really relaxed day. People came, had a drink, ate and danced all night. As far as weddings go (not that I’m biased) it was probably my favourite wedding I’ve attended 😛

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea! I wish we could do it. Our venue has caterers there and wouldn’t let us use other caterers. i think it’s great in terms of simple and come on who doesn’t like pizza?

I think it’s a great idea! I wouldn;t mind at all going to a wedding & pizza was being served for dinner.

If I can’t find an affordable caterer I might go with this idea lol. We love pizza.

@MissCaraMia:  I think it would be awesome!

I am all for simpler ways in this wedding game. Some people may have something to say about it but oh well!

@beachbride1216:  That is very popular here in the south!
