some days i wonder if there is anyone in the film/music industry with a new creative thought – everything seems a redo these days and not many of them for the better 🙁

I apologize for my upcoming profanity, but…

WHAT. THE. FUCK.

I seriously love that movie…it’s cheesy and awful and I love every bit of it. Why must they add it to the long list of remakes I refuse to ever see?

Seems to be a growing trend: Point Break, Red Dawn and now Footloose. I know Footloose was a movie you loved (me) or hated but the trailer for the remake is absolutely ridiculous!!!! I HATE remakes; it takes so much away from the original film.

@MissGreen: I’m upset about the Dirty Dancing remake… yet another movie you cannot do without Patrick Swayze.

@KatNYC2011:

It should be illegal to remake any Swayze film. It’s funny bc Darling Husband just agreed with me. He loves the Swayze man but more Red Dawn, Road House thing!

@fiver:

I will say I heard National Lampoon is not a complete remake but all the original characters return but Russ & Audrey have kids. So maybe it has a chance?

@eloping: Dude – don’t blame the creative types. Blame the business types, and the thousandsandthousands of people who buy tickets to shitty movies. There are plenty of great movies of every type out there, they just aren’t always playing in major theaters. Hollywood makes what’s profitable. Capitalism, meet art. Art, meet capitalism. Howyadoin.

I heard rumors about a Back to the Future remake! If it’s true it will be one very sad day 🙁

I gave up on Hollywood when they remade Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The Neverending Story didn’t make sense in the 80s.  How can they possibly remake it NOW?
