So this is the White by Vera Wang Mermaid I keep gushing about from the second run of her line & I know a few are curious to see it in real life trials. I took a bunch of camera phone pics since I couldn’t wait to try it back on any longer! I really recommend physically putting the dresses on, because they really come to life when you do.
But you get the idea…tried to get a few angles in my little mirror! My longline bra is still on order, so I am without one in these & it needs to be altered in a bit through the hips and thighs..but the lines of the dress are just amazing. I totally didn’t expect to love love this style or dress & put it on just for a second to rule out, & ended up being proven wrong/immediately in love! I still have my Vera ball gown and am going to use it somewhere in the day as a wardrobe change, but THIS dress is my absolutely favorite and main theme.
Still trying to decide on which cathedral veil to use with the pale pink sash for ceremony between the ivory Vera raw edge veil vs. the diamond white pencil edge one with rhinestones all over. Gonna use the walking length ivory raw edge shorter veil for the beginning of reception/dinner and none with the ebony bow for later in the evening.
Not so swift with uploading so many pics…so I did a photobucket guest album:

You really look great! and you look so happy which adds to it even more. I like the black sash better than the pink but I would make it smaller. It’s kind of overwhelming on you since your small.

You were having a lot of fun there, eh? Photoshoot anyone?
I love the idea of a sash on that dress…it makes your already tiny waist look sooooo small.

Oh my gosh that dress is STUNNING on you! You are so teeny! Jealous 🙂
I love the pink sash best.
Do you have a veil that would be close in color to the dress? The white clashes, IMO.

Thank you all so much! I absolutely fell for this dress 100% even though I was looking at getting my ball gown only. I figured I’ve worked hard enough to afford this special day with the absolute soul mate & love of my life…so I can be naughty with shopping as long as I keep in check a bit eventually & sell the unused stuff! I feel so complete with this dress & my ball gown covers the image I also have cherished to have and want to have fun with. I am ecstatic about it! I have to say, I was going bonkers with dress stress before & I’m really not an indecisive nut normally. So the smile is ahappy & relieved one haha
I very much appreciate all the points of view & hope the pics are clear enough for the other bees who have wanted to see it in real life.
The veil situation is I have the two Vera raw edge ivory veils (short & long) which are a total match to both my dresses..I know the lighting was rubbish as was camera phone. The pencil edge diamond white with rhinestone veil I bought back a few months, spent ridiculously three times as much on it (not knowing any better) and wanted to check it out with a creamy white vs. the correct ivory ones. I know it is a stretch and in daylight will be far more noticeable if it was at night in my bedroom. Ehh what is bought is bought, I’ll resell for a discount & consider it as lesson learned and hopefully someone else can benefit a bit!
Playing with the accessories. Not sure if I can pull the large bow off with a veil at the same time, so looking to go with the sash change to the bow when I take off the veil. I NEED practice with tying these things lol!!! Everyone else produces lovely bows & I’m not good at it at all haha.
