I have been stressing about getting gifts for our wedding party and parents for some time now (I am taking one step at a time and focusing on the Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts right now). Originally I thought I HAD to get all of the BMs the same gift, but the more I think of it I am against doing it because they all have such different tastes and because I don’t want to spend $50/gift on them for something none of them want JUST to match.
I told them months ago that I am not planning on buying any type of jewelry for the wedding day for them to wear as I want them to have the option to show their own style in accessorizing since they all have the same J. Crew dress.
So is this acceptable or will they think it’s weird? I just can’t come to a decision as to what to get them if I have to buy them the same gift, I just want them to get fun gifts which I know will be used (one I want I want to get a massage, another a wallet from an Etsy seller, another Gilmore Girls DVDs, etc. etc.).

I think it’s better to get them all something they like and will use rather than something that would match. You don’t want to spend money on something they won’t use. Your ideas sound great!

I agree. Get some something you know they will enjoy. I would just try to keep it all within the same price range, so no one feels "jipped."

I think they’d appreciate the thoughtfulness behind the individual gift. You are brave for letting them pick their accessories!

Absolutely, I think it’s wonderful. Your gifts will have so much more meaning when they’re meant for those particular people. I’d love to get a gift like that.

I agree. Your thoughtfulness will show. But I also agree with BridetoBeb2010. Try to sepnd about the same amount on each.

Thanks for the input all! Yes, of course I would spend the same amount on all 5 BMs 🙂 With some gifts I have in mind I may have to get 2 so that each person gets the same amount but I know that my BMs that get one gift are smart enough to be able to figure out why 🙂

I totally agree; not everyone has the same tastes, so why buy them all the same thing?!
