Our wedding is 12-21-12 on a Friday night. I’m trying to go for old hollywood – classic beauty.
How’d I do? 😀
I don’t like this lipstick. I’m going to get something that might last a little longer. I like the color though.
I will put fake lashes on too day of, just not right now. 😉

I think maybe you should play up the eyes a little more. Love the red lip.

Do the scarlett. no one does old hollywood better!

I ditto with star_dust–get some liquid liner and really emphasize the cat eye look on the corners of your eyes. And the falsies will definitely amp up the look, too! 🙂
The lipstick is also a bit too much pink/berry undertone, so try and find a red lip color that’s a bit more “red.”
This girl has an awesome vintage makeup tutorial:
Good luck! 🙂 You’re definitely on the right track!

Personally, I looooooovvvvveeeeeee that shade of lipstick on you!!! I would play up the eyes a bit more but you already mentioned plans for that with the falsies. You are so pretty! Love the look!
I think SJ looks a little scary in that pic though lol. She looks like she just said “boo” to the photographer. Maybe it was Halloween 😉

The first thing I thought was, “Wow! I love that lipstick… wonder what shade that is…” LOL I think you’re on the right track, but I’d do a heavier black line on your eye.

Fantastic! I agree with PP- would like to see a little more liner on your top lids, but your lips & brows are perfect!
I had to try two other lipsticks (Nars, Lancome), and finally found Kat Von D’s everlasting love liquid lipstick at Sephora. A little liner below, and some gloss on top, and you are good for hours! Brick Red might work for you.

Looks good! I think you should try that pic the PP posted of Scarlett, it looks so good, and I think it will look great on you!

Thanks for the feedback all! Yeah after taking the pictures, I realized that my eyeliner line could have been a bit heavier and darker. I do plan on using to falsies too… so that should play up the eyes more.
I love Scarlet Johannson… but her eyes don’t look good in my opinion in that picture. They look infected since the brown is ALL around her eye. I don’t like shadow underneath.
Honestly I don’t know what shade the lipstick is. I found it on clearance at Walgreens today. 🙂
@rebwana: How did the KatVonD lipstick work for you? This one smugged all over the place.

Lovely! I love that you went easy on the eyeshadow, that will let the false lashes and liner do the talking.
What about lightening up the brows a little so they’re more natural? I think the warm brown competes with the black of the eyeliner & mascara and leaves me distracted.

@mandigrl04: I agree with the shadow below. I dont like the ring. But I like the tones. The lip is very pretty.

Love that red lipstick on you. I’m jealous of the ladies that can pull it off. Agree with amping up the eyeliner a little bit, but everything else looks great.

your brows are so perfectly shaped and clean.
i am loving the red lipstick. have you tried other shades of red too? fyi, red lipstick may appear black in b&w pics.
you will need to use a liquid eyeliner on the top lid to get the look of old hollywood. that’s what they used.
if you really want to create that full look, you may want to consider more coverage on your face and set it with translucent powder. back in that day, women wanted their skin to look flawless.
here are some great old hollywood looks. scarlett does pull off a great old hollywood look. i love her in my last pic.

@mypinkshoes: Hey thanks for the tips. I did ctually use a liquid liner. I just don’t think I used enough. I also have a really full coverage foundation on, along with transluscent powder. It’s just summer right now and my freckles have really popped out. In the winter though they’ll go back into hiding, and my face will be more clear haha!

@mandigrl04: lol, about the freckles. another tip for you to remember, in pro pics your makeup will fade a lot with the flashes and lights. apply at least 50% more than you think is necessary to get the same effect for your pics.
