I had 125 guests and bought my flip flops from hobby lobby when they were on sale for $1.50. (http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/medium-white-adult-flip-flops-306365/) They were a lot easier than old navy because they sold them in sizes small (5/6), medium (7/8), and large (9/10). I think I ended up going with 17 smalls, 25 mediums, 15 larges and I ended up only having 4 left in the basket (a small and two mediums and a large). Sizes 7 and 8 are the most popular sizes so I would stock more up on them. Maybe you can just buy sizes 6, 8, 10 to save you the hassle of having to buy 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10?

I’d definitely only buy for about 50%-75% of your guest list. Three reasons:

1. Not everyone is going to want them

2. If you’re thinking they’d be great for dancing in the late evening, not everyone is going to stick around that long (think people with young kids or older people who get tired easily)

3. You don’t want to be taking home 50 pairs of unused flip-flips that are not even in your size

Better too few than too many, in this case, unless they are your only favour. Just grab 100 pairs, mostly in the most popular sizes. I’ve only been to one wedding with flip-flops in a basket near the washrooms. There was probably about 60 pairs for a wedding of 120, I didn’t get a pair and didn’t particularly care.

Good luck.
