I’m getting married in Old Town. Fiance and I actually didn’t want to go too far from home. So, we’re getting hitched at The Morrison House and then taking family out for a boat cruise on the waterfront afterwards. Old Town definitely has a nice vibe.. ..and it’s got quite a few good places to take pictures.

@BrendaVA: Hi Brenda. Congrats on your upcoming nuptials. I was wondering if you were a member at St. Mary’s in Old Town? I love that church but my Fiance and I are members in another church in Alexandria. Do you know if it is possible for non-members to marry there?

Carlyle House, in Old Town is a really nice little ceremony or reception venue. They have gardens and a gazebo for ceremonies and a terrace for receptions. http://www.nvrpa.org/park/carlyle_house_historic_park/content/rentals

We live in the Huntington area of Alexandria. I used to live in Old Town until I moved in with Fiance. We are doing our e-pics there.

Hello! I know you commented on this thread 5 years ago, but I am getting married in Old Town and was wondering if you had any ideas for where exactly to get the photos taken on the wedding day?! Thanks!

I am not getting married here, but I got my engagement pics done in Old Town. There are so many gorgeous places to get pics. King Street, The waterfront, the ivy covered brick pavillion by the metro etc. It really depends on what you are going for. Are you looking for something traditional, something more fun/modern/ etc.
