Absolutely! I think you should definitely Or at the very least see if she is willing to part with the sample at a significant discount!

I second lily.  It’s wrong to try to sell a dress from an old collection (especially that old, I mean COME on!) at full price.  I would call the woman up, play stupid, and explain that you couldn’t find the dress anywhere on Saison Blanche’s website.  See how she reacts.  If she’s honest and tells you its from an old collection, they do what lily suggessted, ask for the sample at a discount.  If she acts like she has no idea what you’re talking about, then nicely tell her you think the dress is from a three year old collection, and ask her if she would part with it for a lower price due to its antiquity!

Since the dress is from an older collection, there is also a chance that someone might be selling it used.  I would check out sites like http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com, http://www.oncewed.com, and http://www.woreitonce.com.  Remember, if you find the dress in a bigger size for a low price, your sister can always take it to a seamstress and have it fit right to her!

Good luck and congratulations on both your weddings!  That’s awesome!

And OMG!  I just checked your profile page and you’re the first date twin I’ve found!  3/14/09!  YAY!

PM me sometime or check out my blog (http://bamboo-bride.blogspot.com)!
