tagging in! I am having an ombre theme wedding mostly contrasting plum and lavender. I thought about doing ombre bridesmaids dresses but ended up sticking with plum and will ombre elements in other places. Will you have ombre in other places or were you only wanting it for your bridesmaids dresses?

Are you talking ombre printed dresses, or each girl wears a different color?

I’m doing the sane thing with pink. We don’t go dress shopping until the end of the month so I have nothing to show you. Have you considered looking at other shops as well as DB? I am doing different colors and dresses so there is more wiggle room. If you stick to the same length and material you might be able to find more shades by expending the store options.

I would get samples, or go to DB alone and look at dresses. That’s what I did and it helped a lot. I agree, I couldn’t find DB dresses in enough colors that worked, but my colors are coral/ peach. I ended up going with tulle and chantilly- I don’t have dress photos but these are my colors.

ucsadie:  I’m wanting to do the same sort of thing.

my colors are burgundy and blush and I wanted to do burgundy-ish colors without them all being the same so these are the inspiration pics I’ve found that I love.

nattybeee:  I’m doing something like this as well; burgundy, plum, and gold dresses.  This is what I think I’ll be doing (more mismatched than ombre I suppose):

BM dresses

This is a picture of it on my computer, so the quality isn’t great.

i don’t think DB has enough plum shades that look harmonious together. it would also be hard to find groomsmen’s attire in matching ombre color.

do you have a bella bridesmaids near you? I initially was going to do ombre (have since decided route) and they were very helpful there!

or you can look at weddington way and order swatches. I think donna morgan has a large selection of colors.

I’m bumping this! I am thinking about the same thing. I’m stuck with DB bc everyone wants to be able to try on the dress before purchasing it. In my area this is the only place that has such a large varity of dresses available to try on, in everyone’s sizes. I was thinking of doing different shades of purple & berry but I’m having such a hard time settling on the exact shades! If someone has done this I would LOVE to see photos! I have the swatches & have compared the photos online, but these colors look so different in real life. They even look totally different in different fabrics!

nattybeee:  These were my inspiration pictures. Small world, haha.

My girls bought infinity dresses off Ebay. Since we’re getting married outside in June, I wanted to make sure they had a light airy dress without multiple layers.
