When I was young I ran into a gym wall (I’m super talented) and cracked my tooth in half diagonally. Well they fixed it, blended it pretty well and you could never tell that half my tooth was fake.
WHEN IT FELL THE HELL OFF!
I thought I felt something in my tooth from dinner. Thought it was a corn kernel. Pushed it with my tongue, it fell out, I couldn’t figure what it was and went to look in the mirror. HOLY CRAP BEES!
I’m meeting with a client for the first time tomorrow for her maternity shoot. I can’t reschedule, but I’m so freakin embarrassed.
Maybe I’ll just stick a paper bag over my head.

omg! That sucks!! Maybe just explain the tooth, or just try not to smile? We all have stuff happen, she should understand! And call your dentist asap!!

Oh man. That happened to my sis, but her story is more humilating. She was trying to two step and spin with somone and hit her face on the floor. Then had it break off again the day before she had to meet her Future In-Laws…. I think your client won’t be too worried if you don’t freak out about it. I hope you can get it fixed soon!!

@chasesgirl: Oh man that is terrible! I’m just going to let her and her boyfriend know that I’m not pissed off or anything, just super embarrassed lol! Hell maybe I’ll get some candid smiles from it!

@lunathea: Trust me when I say most women who are doing maternity are nervous, feeling self-concious, feeling bloated and are not in a happy place. Smile. Show them you can rock it and it will help loosen them up. Then go get it fixed. LOL. I’d do something hilarious like, today, there will be no frowns, no long faces, nothing but happy faces. Why? (show them the tooth smile) Cause when you’re down, all it takes is a smile to turn it upside down 🙂

oh my goodness sweetie. I am so sorry. I have no advice other than to tell your client what exactly happened so they won’t be alarmed. good luck xoxo

Same thing happened to me…i chipped my front tooth when i was little on the sidewalk and till this day i go in to have it re shaped/whitened every year or so…the fake part (its my very front tooth on top) tends to get yellowy and doesnt match the rest, so that helps to do every now and then…however, one day…about 5 years ago, i was laying in my bed with my now fiance doing math homework and chewing on a plastic pencil for some reason, when all of a sudden my tooth FELL OFF!!! i was so embarressed, i ran down stairs and told my mom and got it fixed the next day. He never knew..i just didnt talk much the rest of the night! lol ugh! I feel your pain, hope you get it fixed soon!!!!

What time is the apt?
Your dentist should be able to maybe give you temporary cap until you can get the cosmetic done!

@lunathea: LOL at the visual. I ran into a gym wall TOO! But didn’t crack my tooth on it. LOL. Thankfully they are an easy fix…

@Eva Peron: It’s a six, but the dentists offices are closed (Sunday) and possible Monday (holiday). Lol everyone at my work told me to glue chiclets to the front of my teeth.
@mrs.t_finally: Yea I intended to do some ridiculously wide grinning to hopefully crack her and the boyfriend up. May as well put it to good use!
@Pixie79: I’m a super klutz. I’m really shocked I haven’t broken any bones. I end up with multiple bruises a week from tripping, falling, running into things. Walking is a hazard for me really 🙂

haah oh no! Do you have an old retainer or maybe a mouth guard, invasialighn type thing. You might looks super nerdy but it would be a good cover up 😉

What is a maternity shoot?
@Eva Peron: LMAO I just got the image in my head of putting in my sports mouth guard and saying that “photography is extremely dangerous so I’m just trying to take precautions”. But unfortunately aside from that guard, I have nothing else.
@peachacid: A photography shoot of a mom to be! The girl I’m shooting today is three weeks from her due date!

@lunathea: couldn’t you glue it on temporarily??
