even tho you are getting negative results you still may be pregnant. I would maybe take another test or 2 or definitely see a doctor. I took 4 tests and they all said negative but was still missing my period so I went to the doc and TA DA now I have a kiddo

I think there’s enough of a chance that you should see your doctor, but I wouldn’t freak out until you get the blood test. The same exact thing happened to my best friend, and she wasn’t pregnant, her cycle was just off. She was getting weird cravings and feeling nauseated, too!

Who knows. Definitely stuff for a doctor. We certainly can’t tell you!

You could be even though the tests came back negative. My girlfriend was pregnant with twins and all her tests were negative! But, I think you did the right thing and contacting your dr. Cuz if you aren’t pregnant, you probably want to get this figured out!

Its possible that you are just having irregular periods (was there a lot of stress around the holidays for you?) but you really ought to go to the doctor to find out for sure. Good luck!

Even a doctor can’t really tell you without a urine and serum hCG…

Regardless, I hope you are able to get the answers that you are looking for and the outcome is what you want it to be!

did you take the test with your first timing going in the morning?  Do you feel any changes in your breasts or appetite?  I think going to the Dr. is the right call, but I know it took me awhile for my body to normalize after going off the pill, though, my cycles got shorter.

No i realize that, I just think that’s way too vague of information to even be like “oh yeah, maybe!” Two negative tests but conflicting signs is not something i’ve heard of with any of my family/friends, that’s all! Even tho skiping your period, to me, is a big red flag, no pun intended. Unless you’re really stressed! Then that could just explain it and the phantom menstrual symptoms.

I’m glad you’ve scheduled an appointment with your physician.  I once had a patient who never tested positive with urine tests but always tested positive through blood tests.

If you’re not pregnant, your body may very well be a little out of whack from coming off birth control.  Have you ever checked out the community on LiveJournal called VaginaPagina?  They are an awesome bunchy of extremely knowledgable people when it comes to these things – I’ve been blown away at how well they know birth control and the way it works along with women’s cycles.  I highly suggest making a “sockpuppet” account on LJ and post there.  I’m more than positive you’ll receive a helpful response.

ETA: I just realized you said you’ve been off BC since June.  That’s quite some time ago…I’d still post on VagPag and see what they say.  They’re awesome with this stuff!

Getting off the pill can cause your periods to be irregular.  I went off it a few months ago and my period has been crazy irregular and very short.  However, I did notice that some pregnancy symptoms (especially nipple/boob tenderness) were actually just PMS symptoms.  Good luck!
