I was the same in early pregnancy.  I pretty much survived on ginger cookies, soda crackers, Wendy’s JBCs and peaches.

Yuuuuuup! Carbs are fantastic. Just about the only thing that sounded appetizing in the 1st tri was potatoes, and now in the 3rd tri, carbs ease my heartburn, haha >.< Don’t worry, baby will be alright ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve been the same way for like 4 weeks. I spoke to my doctor about it, and he said that they baby will be fine as long as I take my vitamins, the baby will get what it needs from my body and I will suffer any deficiencies (thanks, baby!). He also told me that babies born during wartime when the mothers were starving tended to be a little lower weight, but not particularly deficient in vitamins.

My big attempt at vegetables is broccoli on my baked potato. I’m doing my best!

@Mrs.Maeby:  Lol I wish I had only eaten them 3 times. Your fine. I forget your EDD but you should still be in the first tri? I only eat what I can or want to ensure less puking. I just want food. Right now I’m trying to decide what to eat before work and its not goign well…

Ugh me too…unfortunately I have gestational diabetes so I can’t have hardly any carbs at all. It’s torture! 5 more weeks and then I’m gorging on potatoes!

@Mrs.Maeby:  Yeppp. Sounds about right. My whole first trimester was basically sustained on carbs alone…when I could eat and keep it down, that is. Now that I’m in my 2nd tri (and approaching 17 weeks), I can eat a more balanced/healthy diet. Don’t be too hard on yourself. It’ll get better and baby will be fine! ๐Ÿ™‚

@Mrs.Maeby:  Lol, it’s a really active thread! I have had nausea on and off but the worst part is the migraines/headcahes I am getting. ๐Ÿ™

I have been taking protein shakes once a day to make sure I get something other then carbs for LO. I’m still worried it’s not enough though.

I love being a crazy pregnant lady ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m due in two weeks and I’ve been binging on carbs this whole pregnancy. I try to force down a couple servings of fruit, at least one veggie (blech) and some protein as well every day, but mostly carbs!

@Mrs.Maeby:  Yes but gradually, I have a serious caffiene problem like 8 cups a day. So I stopped but I had a cup yesterday though…Still have the migrainel. I am currently in a dark room trying to make it go away.
