I am having a heck of a time trying to narrow down my colors for the reception and I really need to get this done so I can buy stuff. At first, I wanted to go with champagne, ivory, and a deep rose red. Now I am leaning towards champagne, deep rose red, and chocolate brown. I figure the ivory will also be in there but not be one of my “colors”. Here is a pic of the venue. What do you think?

What a pretty venue! I would go with ivory because the venue already looks dark. I would be concerned with having the brown and the deep red that it may get a little dark and dreary….ivory would lighten it up! You could have touches of brown, but not too much!

Yeah, I think ivory would bring a little light into the room.

Great venue!! I agree with the above posters.

I think the chocolate brown is better because the ivory and champagne are too similar.

I think the chocolate brown will make it all look darker. The wood is beautiful but it is on the darker side.

i think chocolate would take away from all of the woodwork and make the room look darker.

What a lovely room for your reception! If you want more dark red or burgundy you could choose candles in that color, like in the curtains.
I see alot of gold-ish hues in this photo…perhaps it is the lighting. What are your ideas for lighting the room?
Maybe you can find a way to adjust the color or feel of the room by looking at different ways to provide light and sparkle in the room.
Best wishes and happy planning!

I think you can make your decision based on the mood you want in the room.
I think the ivory/champ will keep the look rustic (b/c the wooden accents in the room will really stand out) it will keep a balance of the dark wood combined with the light look of the ivory/champ.
If you want a warmer feel, the brown will darken the room, adding that warmth w/ the deep rose red. The wood won’t stand out as much, as it will blend with the colors and keep everything warm and fall like.

Awesome room! I voted for ivory – there’s a lot of brown in the room already. I think ivory will lighten it up.

oooh the Rococo Room. I love that venue. Congrats! I agree with most of the other posters. Ivory would be lovely and bring out the wood beams. I think the chocolate might make it look to dark and stuffy.

I’d go champagne, chocolate brown and ivory, but that’s just because I think red and brown look weird together, and although i like champagne, ivory and red, I think it would look WAY too much like valentines day.

Thank you for all of your help ladies! I am going for a really romantic feel with tons of candles. I have decided to go with Ivory, champagne, and deep rose red. I was concerned about it looking Valentines Day-ish so i will limit the red. PHEW! I am glad that is decided!

How exciting, we are going to take a look at the Rococo room tomorrow for our Wedding in August. If we book it we’re going for navy blue (bridesmaids) with deep red flowers, with turquoise as the pop of color. I know there is a lot of red in the room already, so this is what inspired me to choose the colors. http://i56.tinypic.com/f0yvpj.jpg My dress is ivory, so I will be using ivory table clothes.
