You may want to get to your makeup artist as early as possible then to be on time.

You need to decide if you are going to get in your dress at home or at the venue. So can you go from the salon directly to the venue or do you have to go home first. Determine what time you need to be done at the salon based on the above decision then tell your makeup artist and hairstylist what time you need to be done and let them suggest what time they need to start.

Do you have to be in your dress, ready to take pictures at 10:30?  Can you get dressed at the venue?  and – who is doing your hair?

Figuring an hour for hair and an hour for makeup, my timeline would be:

5:45am – wake up / shower / eat

6:45am – drive to salon

7:00am-8:00am get hair done

8:30am-9:30am get make up done

9:45am – leave salon

10:00am – arrive at venue and get dressed

10:30am – ready!

You’d obviously edit this, based on how much time it actually takes you do things.  I’d also HIGHLY recommend that you have someone to drive you from the salon to the venue – after my hair / make up was done – my veil was in and driving would have been difficult.

Also – I padded some time at the salon in between hair and makeup.  You may not need it (and your respective stylists may want longer time windows) but that’s a general framework.  The moral of the story is – give yourself more time than less time.

i would def get there as early as possible. like bright and early! i had to be at the church at 1:30 for a 3:00 wedding – i got up and at it at 8 – hair appointment at 9 makeup at 11:30 and i was leaving the MAC counter at 1:15! it was the one thing i wish i had given myself more time for…i was seriously rushed getting to the church. Luckily once you are there you kinda just sit around till the cermony starts – i opted to change at the church so that saved some time.

another option would be talking to your hair/makeup artist and see if she is willing to meet you at the church or where you are staying to knock off some drive time.

@oracle: That schedule sounds awesome … but will the salon even be open that early on a weekend?!
