@ChellFish22:  My heart just dropped reading your post. I know I’m a total internet stranger, so this might seem weird … but I wish I knew you in person so that I could give you a hug. I feel crushed for you, so I can’t even imagine how you must feel about it. And it’s even worse because you have the flu. Why does everything have to happen all at one time?!?

It sounds like your husband was amazingly sweet and understanding, so at least you have the consolation of fate/life/whatever confirming what you already knew: He’s a keeper!

Don’t lose heart! It could still turn up, especially since you haven’t been outside much for the past several days. And I know you’ll do this, anyhow, but keep an eye on your pup to make sure  she / he is eating and feeling OK — just in case he/she might have eaten your ring. If it’s kind of large, that seems like a long shot … but it sounds like you’ve looked absolutely everywhere.

Hugs and good thoughts to you.

Didn’t read all the replies to see if these things were suggested, but did you try looking in oven gloves?

In pill bottles?

In your handbag (pockets and all)?

Cat food/treats?

Human food (like in a bag or cookies or rice or something), in the fridge, in the freezer?

@ChellFish22:  maybe try asking at your apartment leasing/management office. They are a few decent people that if they found it they would try and return it and thats probably where I would try. Just in case you lost in walking to the garbage dumpster

Once when I was really tired I took my rings and jewelry off in my walk-in closet when I was putting my PJs on – and instead of putting it on its stand holder in my jewelry box, I left it on one of the built in shelves in my closet where I keep my sweaters and NEVER ever keep jewelry there. Not sure what made me do that at all. Anyway, the next day –  I don’t wear them when I am working so the next evening really, as we were getting ready to go out to dinner I went to put them on and had a mini-heart attack when my rings were not in the jewelry box where I keep them when I am not wearing them. It was a few panicked minutes before, wracking my brain, I finally remembered where I took them off. OP, I know you said you have been sick – maybe you took them off and set them somewhere you normally wouldn’t. I am praying that you find them and BIG GIANT HUGS headed your way.

@ChellFish22:  Ohhhhh I just keep hoping I will see that you have found it!!!

I’m so sorry you haven’t- yet– how frustrating.

I am someone– who yep, I misplace things often- but usually find them fast.  If I can’t find something, I am relentless and will search and search and be unsettled until I find it- I would be a mess LOL

You’re going to find it– you have to!

@ChellFish22:  Have you looked under the new trash bag in the trash can? It’s a weird place but that’s where my SIL lost hers once. Good luck!

Have you gone through the car? Checked in the treads of shoes? In the cuffs of pants? My mil heard her earring fall out and DH heard it got the floor, and we searched and couldn’t find it for the life of us, a year later she pulled the jeans out she was wearing and out it fell… It mista bounced off the floor and into the cuff of her jeans

I suggest you rent a metal detector, especially before the trash gets takeN.
