I can totally relate! I think I’ve posted here about it before.. I share a room with a guy and he is so freaking loud. I’ve started coming in an hour early (and leaving early too) just so I can have at least that time to get stuff done in peace!

Lately I’ve been particularly annoyed when he eats his lunch at his desk and blasts TMZ some equally annoying celebrity gossip shit on the internet while he eats. Guess he can’t chew without TV? UGH. Oh what I’d give to have my own space to work in!

Hang in there! Tomorrow’s FRIDAY!

I work with my brother, he will wait until I’m on the phone, come into my office, fart…and leave…does that suck!

We also have a fairly nice telephone system with intercom and such, instead of utilizing that, my father will bellow down the hallway for me like I’m 10 and he found a carton of milk on the counter.

My 80 year old receptionist falls asleep at her desk in the afternoon…soooo professional!

@MissBling:  This OTHER guy….around 30, hes a little closer to me in my office. Hes inconsiderate of people around him, hes loud and doesnt care if he slams things down etc. Also, his FOOD SMELLSSS so bad, I want to barf every time he heats up his sick smelling food. Also, hes SLURPS and chomps on his food. Last week he had a half frozen canned drinnk that he was literally SUCKING the slush out, omg I wanted to FLIP out.

GIIIIRRRRRLLLLLL your co-worker and my co-worker should work together.  My co-worker does the same thing.  We are in a small office divided by cubicles (there are 3 of us here) and she constantly will make lunches that smell so bad.  She’ll heat up tuna in our small microwave or canned chicken with some kind of smelly mayonaise and then eat it on a cracker in our office instead of going to the break room or cafeteria (which also has a microwave).  We keep our door shut to our office because we are right behind hospital admissions and between all the patients and hospital workers walking by our office being loud it gets distracting.  So I started spraying air freshener in our office to get rid of the smell….all of a sudden she has an allergy to any kind of spray, perfume, scented lotions, candles etc….oh but she goes to bath and body works to buy soap and puts it by our sink in our office.  This kind of course she is not allergic to.  Finally our boss said “No smelly anything in our office including foods” but just today my co-worker tried to turn me into our boss saying that my lotion was giving her a headache and she doesn’t know why I don’t comply with the “rules” so I was called into the office today and told that my “coconut” smelling lotion was “offensive” to her.  I got a kick out of watching her face when I said “The only lotion I have here is unscented and I haven’t even used that today so its not me.” She also likes to slam doors when she’s upset, she did after I put her in her place today.  Now she won’t talk to me the rest of the week if not longer because I didn’t let her bully me.  UGH I can’t wait till she retires.

You’re co-workers sounds just as Ape-$h!t crazy as mine does.

@NurseMandie:  i call bullshit on her “allergies” (and i’m pretty sure you do too). i get migraines from strong scents too but it’s the floral type scents that do it. i love coconut scent and it most definitely doesn’t give me a headache. i can also handle stuff like apple cinnamon. i’ve never met anyone who gets headaches from coconut scent (and i know a lot of people who are sensitive to smells).

@calibee79:  I totally call BS on that but I can’t prove otherwise so we just have to put up with it. So annoying she gets away with so much crap here because she knows just how to play the system so you can’t ever really prove what she is doing is wrong.  GRRRR. Gotta love co-workers I guess.

@MissBling:  Oh god the stories I could tell you.  She CONSTANTLY has some drama at home that she has to bring to work.  She’s allergic to all sorts of foods too (I call BS on that as well because I’ve seen her outside of work eating some of these so-called food allergies).  Over Christmas she called in because she ate sour cream or cream cheese and had a horrible allergic reaction (funny because one of the foods I brought during our potluck had both of those in it and she never mentioned otherwise, and I know she had some because she commented how good it was).  Over Thanksgiving her daughter got into an altercation with her ex and co-worker had to step in and thought she was going to get into a fist fight with said ex and his new girlfriend and end up in jail….the list goes on and on.  She’s in her mid 50’s and mentions about 5 times a week how she has a 5 year plan to retire and she’s counting down the days.  I would love to say to her “So am I”.

You just made me chuckle at my desk…sorry I know it’s not funny, but your descriptions are just so vivid.

I can’t STAND when people heat up nasty smelling stuff (especially fish chowder) and eat it at their desk!!! Drives me NUTS.

Good luck.  I hope you don’t have to work this weekend at least.
