Bummer!  Did you get a proof before they were printed? Will the Etsy seller give you a discount for the goof?

I probably wouldn’t have noticed if you hadn’t pointed it out, but then, I don’t eat beef, so I probably wouldn’t have even considered that option.

they look really pretty! I prob wouldnt notice the spelling error but I am a HORRIBLE speller. I would  ask her for some $ off.

I agree that I would ask for a discount from the seller.  And I also agree that while a few people will notice I don’t think the majority will notice or think it’s a big deal (and I almost guarantee a couple will just think they’ve been spelling the word filet wrong their whole lives).

I bet most people won’t notice.  Even if they do, don’t worry — your wedding is for your friends and family so I’m sure that’s the crowd that is there to support you, not criticize you!  Honestly, I have an advanced degree from an Ivy and I don’t even know how “filet” is spelled, so don’t worry too much ๐Ÿ™‚  (not to brag about the degree, just trying to be reassuring!).

I agree with @lampshade127. According to the dictionary both are correct. Since it’s not technically wrong, I don’t think you can get a discount or really make an argument. And if anyone questions it? Point them to the link above and claim to have known that because of your marketing experience. ๐Ÿ™‚

I  missed a number in my venue address if it makes you feel better.

It was used in my fish recipe from last night as fillet.

The best part is that it’s on the card that they send back to you. It’s not like it sits on their refrigerator for 2 months.

Way worse things could happen! Think about all the posts about having the wrong address or date or names spelled wrong. You are in good shape. According to the dictionary there is no error at all. Focus your energy on getting them addressed and in the mail ๐Ÿ™‚

I agree with @lampshade127, technically it’s NOT wrong so I’d just go with it. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m from the UK, and have only ever seen it spelt as Fillet – looked at your invites and thought ‘but it’s spelt right, how has she fixed that??’ Seriously, I don’t think anyone will notice, and if they do, tell them it is spelt both ways!! They look great ๐Ÿ™‚
