Awwww. Is there anyway she can still be apart of your special day? I don’t know if you are doing custom dresses or not, but maybe you can help her out with the cost so she can still stand with you? That sucks all around. I have been laid off before and it hurts so bad.

How hard is your color to find? If you’re really wanting her in the wedding, I’m sure you can find a compromise. Maybe you can find something in your color at a department store or help share the costs? It would be fine for Bridesmaid or Best Man and Maid/Matron of Honor to not match exactly because they do have different titles!

That sucks. Maybe she could wear something she already has?

Is it even possible to just have her wear something nice she already owns? Even if it doesn’t match? I am getting the feeling from you that it is important for you to have her up there for support.

Oh!  I am so sorry.  That’s terrible.  The economy is so bad right now, but I know that doesn’t make the news any easier.  πŸ™

Aw, I’m sorry.

But I do agree with @jayelcee85: would it be worth sacrificing your overall vision if you tried going with a cheaper dress or even allowed her to “shop her closet”? I mean, BMs don’t HAVE to match!

And, as crummy as YOU feel right now, I think she probably needs you more!

Is she still planning to COME to the wedding?

Personally, I would forgo any bridesmaid’s dress at all if that was what was standing between me and my friend being able to be in my wedding.
