Uuuughh I just got home from the hospital. I had JUST brought my son to his dads and about an hour later I got the call, the call no one ever wants to get, that your kid was just injured, let alone attacked by a dog.
It was their neighbors pit bull, and I know they make it mean. Their fucking little shits are always taunting it, teasing it and the parents do NOTHING. They think it’s FUNNY. They’re not fucking laughing now, though. I feel bad for the dog, it did NOT have to be like this. Those asshole idiots MADE it that way and now the dog is the one paying the price. The police will likely put it down.
I feel bad because I never want to see an animal euthanized, but honestly if I had been there the momma bear in me probably would have killed the dog myself, or at least broken a few ribs. I’m not bragging or being funny. I do not think I could stop myself from attacking back anything that attacks my baby. My son is only 4 by the way.
He has an entire set of teeth marks on his precious cheek and one huge gouged out hole that needed 2 stitches. He didn’t scream or cry though, but he was very, very scared.
I am just freaking out right now. We are so lucky the dog just bit and let go and didn’t maul him, rip his face off or oh my god broken his neck.
I don’t know if we sue them or what we do now. His dad and dads girlfriend called the police and animal control, the dog was removed from the property. I don’t know what they will do with it. I feel so bad for it that it’s owners let this happen. I really do. I don’t know how I should feel right now.

I’m glad your son is ok! How scary for him.
So sad for the doggy too. : ( I have zero tolerance for irresponsible pet owners. Makes me so sad!

OMG your poor son! I hope his recovery is as quick and painless as possible.

I can’t even imagine. I am glad he is okay!

That is terrible, I am very, very glad your son was not more badly hurt.
Dogs are only as good as their owners, and I think you are right to place the blame in their corner.

Omg mommy needs vodka now. I can’t calm down 🙁 it was awful watching him get stitches. When they were done and he was able to sit up, he kept going to fuss with the stitches and giving me mini heart attacks each time. Heart attacks and bouts of needing to barf.

Holy geeze. Glad your son wasn’t hurt worse than all that – that’s still terrible. Poor guy. What a bunch of idiots. I just don’t understand why people raise animals in that sort of manner.

Oh no! I hope your son is ok. I know you said he wasn’t crying but I’m sure he’s traumatized by the whole ordeal.
Poor dog also but I totally get what you’re saying. Some people really should not have dogs! How are you doing, I’m sure you still pretty spooked.

He was definitely crying during the attack and when I met him and his dad et al at the hospital he was crying his eyes out then, but during the stitching he was only scared.
@LadyX: Me, I need about 5 shots of vodka right now.

@Omgbunnies: Omg, I’m glad your son is okay! I’m sorry this happened! I feel bad that the dog is going to get put to down but the owners should be the ones held responsible! I would have attacked them after making sure my son is ok!
Just make sure your son is okay and comfort him. Also make sure he knows that not all dogs are like that.

Oh my goodness, thats terrible! I’m so sorry. You seem to be handling it as well as anyone, though. Your poor kiddo.
Unless your four year old son was provoking the dog (which i doubt,) then it should probably be put down. And those owners should be arrested!
